While this doesn’t affect the person in the pew, it does say that Pope Leo has no problem in reversing some of the more divisive and problematic policies that Pope Francis instituted.
This is a Pillar headline:
Leo rent reversal returns Vatican to ‘previous situation’
Pope Leo XIV reversed this week a Pope Francis-era policy which had proven deeply unpopular within the Roman Curia, which ended free or subsidized housing for senior Vatican officials and cardinals.
Will we see this?
Leo Mass reversal returns Vatican to ‘previous situation’
Pope Leo XIV reversed this week a Pope Francis-era policy which had proven deeply unpopular within the Roman Church, which ended Summorum Pontificum for young and senior Catholics, laity and clergy.

Father McDonald, you praised two days the Silere non possum article that had portrayed "traditionalists" in dreadful fashion.
The article in question highlighted the tactics that many Trad Inc. types have wielded against Pope Leo XIV to attempt to pressure him to reverse Traditionis Custodes.
The Silere non possum article confirmed many among Pope Francis' (requiescat in pace) concerns in regard to the TLM Movement.
Via the following section of the Silere non possum article, "Pressure on Leo XIV from problematic actors," we read that Trad Inc.'s schemes to spur His Holiness to repeal Traditionis Custodes consist of a...
..."...pressure campaign built in stages, between media exposure and the political management of dissent, as though the life of the Church were a negotiating table rather than a place of communion and obedience."
The article denounced as "deplorable" methods that Trad Inc., including such Cardinals as Burke and Sarah, have employed to attempt to turn Pope Leo XIV against Traditionis Custodes.
I find it unimaginable that Pope Leo XIV is unaware of the TLM Movement's nonsense in question. In turn, I find in unimaginable that Pope Leo XIV would bow to the pressure to repeal Traditionis Custodes to return to Summorum Pontificum.
If anything, as leading trads have insisted upon for years, Summorum Pontificum had been viewed throughout the TLM Movement as Pope Benedict XVI's unpopular failed "trick" to lure trads to accept Vatican II in exchange for greater freedom for the TLM...
...and as Pope Benedict XVI's "trick" to obtain time to "doll up" (Michael Matt's term) a hybrid Novus Ordo which, in turn, would replace the TLM.
Would Pope Leo XIV risk an even greater degree of alienation among trads by restoring Pope Benedict XVI's supposed "trick"...Summorum Pontificum?
Pax.

Time will tell and I am sticking with my clairvoyance. So many reversals thus far, getting closer to TC and Pope Leo doing in a refined way to Pope Francis what Pope Francis did in an unrefined way to Pope Benedict.
Father, you are correct that time will tell.
For now...we know that...
-- Pope Leo XIV informed Archbishop Buendía, the apostolic nuncio to Great Britain, that His Holiness is on board with Traditionis Custodes. Pope Leo XIV has demonstrated that.
-- Father, the Silere non possum article that you praised has confirmed numerous TLM Movement-related serious problems that had led to Traditionis Custodes.
It is glaringly obvious that Pope Francis' (requiescat in pace) issuance of Traditionis Custodes was wise, merciful, and necessary.
If anything, the SSPX's (a key Trad Inc. player) disgraceful in-your-face aggression last week against Pope Leo XIV has confirmed that.
Trad Inc. seems determined to parade before Pope Leo XIV its (Trad Inc.'s) widespread disturbing, destructive nature.
Pax.

Mark Thomas,
After 50 years of the unjust suppression of the historical Latin rite and refusal to enter into any meaningful dialogue, and given the recent brutal suppression by Pope Francis, it is quite legitimate to publicly petition for what would be an act of justice.
