This is Holy Comforter Church in Charlottesville, Virginia. Just imagine reversing the before and after. In the 1970’s the Bishop of Savannah wanted this kind of sanctuary set-up for our Cathedral. In the 70’s there was a reaction to his plans similar to the reaction of Minneapolis to ICE! It did not happen and I don’t think our bishop ever got over the threats made to him and that he had to backtrack. He did backtrack and this is an excellent example to another bishop in the Province of Atlanta, not Charlottesville, but Charlotte!
