Leo posted this tweet today which has got conservatives angry…
He also dropped this tweet, which reads: "No one should be forced to flee, nor exploited or mistreated because of their situation as foreigners or people in need! Human dignity must always come first!"
And his sermon from yesterday…
That same day, Pope Leo XIV delivered a homily during the Holy Mass for the Jubilee of the Missions and of Migrants that echoed the sentiments of his tweet: "We are to remain without fleeing to the comforts of our individualism; to remain so as to look upon those who arrive from lands that are distant and violent; to remain and open our arms and hearts to them, welcoming them as brothers and sisters, and being for them a presence of consolation and hope."
Obviously the pope did not call out anyone specific in his tweet, but based on the response, it's safe to assume that everyone is thinking the same thing. One tweet in response to the pope's said this: "In other words, Trump's actions are not in line with Christianity."
That would be a bombshell. I expect he may keep upping the anti by explicitly contthe actions without naming Trump himself. He’ll get the USCCB to do that.

Too close and blurry to see the deacon’s shoe clearly but looks like a raised sole so maybe a prosthetic?
Careful mentioning the back of Leo’s cope coz looks like a bird of some kind. The loony trads will claim it’s pagan!
I defy you to find one such person who isn't also manifestly suffering from a psychotic-type mental disorder.

Guess Trump’s not in line for a papal award then!
B. Benny - I suspect the pope is setting up a BOMBSHELL condemnation of Trump - by name - for his anti-Christian words and behavior.
Or at least Leo is laying the groundwork for bestowing a PAPAL anti-award to Trump - the Contra Ecclesia et Pontifice medal.
