PEACEFUL PROTESTS AN IMMUNITY TO COVID-19 DOES NOT MAKE, MASK OR NO MASK

I am watching the ABC Evening News and the anchor is reporting that everyone who attended a peaceful protest anywhere in the USA should consider they have been exposed to COVID-19 and should be tested as soon as possible.

  • Protesters should “highly consider” being tested for the coronavirus three to seven days after attending an event, Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, told a House subcommittee this week. “I do think there is a potential, unfortunately, for this to be a seeding event, and the way to minimize that is to have each individual to recognize it’s to the advantage of them to protect their loved ones,” Redfield said. Protests continued across the country for a ninth day Saturday after the Memorial Day death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody.

Last Saturday we know what happened at our Diaconate Ordination. At least three parishes immediately canceled their opening Masses because their clergy were there, despite the fact they were wearing masks.

Some of the clergy at the Cathedral went the next day to the peaceful protest in downtown Savannah. Should priests, like FRMJK, shelter in place and cancel their weekend Masses this weekend?

Just what does “be not afraid” mean anyway? And should the priests involved in the double whammies in Savannah shelter in place for the next two weeks and cancel all liturgies and closed the office and crawl into a hole?

I ask; you answer.

Father McDonald,

This will cause the lefties hair to catch on fire!

On Saturday Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano sent a letter to President Donald Trump to encourage him on this righteous battle of good versus evil playing out in the United States today.

The ordination Mass is easily dealt with via whoever was within 6ft of the infected person AND whose cumulative time in that zone exceeded 15mins AND/OR was the recipient of a cough or sneeze directly or indirectly, should consider themselves at risk, and a risk to others.

Anyone who attended mass crowded long term rallies and zero spacing entire time, with total strangers yelling, sweating bullets, etc has put every person with whom they interact at risk.

But, mercenary virtue signalling is worth it, doncha know?

Bob,

Especially when done by priests!

Yes TJM, I read the letter as well from Archbishop Vigano courtesy of the Gateway Pundit Website. To make this man a martyr is utterly insane, he was in prison for 5 years for armed robbery, held a gun up to a pregnant African-American woman, and was on methamphetamine and Fentanyl when he was arrested. My friends this is ALL a well funded effort to topple Donald Trump and the United States of America as we know it. It has nothing to do about race it never was, if it was than why has nothing been done for the Black men being murdered every weekend in Chicago, St Louis, Baltimore, D.C., Detroit, New York, look who the vast majority of these rioters are: young White kids ages 18 to 30, yes there are many Blacks however LOOK hard at every city this is happening in and its White faces behind the masks. We were told to hide inside and close down the country for 3 months and we as sheeple obeyed! Covid was a false alarm and we all fell for it hook line and sinker, and look at the outcome.

After all is said and done with the burning and looting of our cities in the name of police reform and racism who are the losers again? Well the answer is simple African Americans! Each and every time these things happen the American people watch on TV as African Americans burn, loot and destroy their own towns and cities and with it Black owned businesses, they destroy their own neighborhoods and stores and achieve NOTHING. And then they wonder why Hispanics, Asians and other minorities succeed in America and prosper, well they don't destroy and burn their homes, stores and businesses, living in Los Angeles I for one cannot see Korean Americans burning their stores on Western Avenue where they prosper. No my friends its not the police who the problem but maybe its the African American community themselves. They have been controlled by the Democrat Party for over 60 years and look at their sad state of affairs. 75% of Black children born out of wedlock, Planned Parenthood killing thousands of Black babies and the list could go on. Candace Owens from Turning Point USA who is simply a brilliant and brave African American woman put out a video on YouTube two days ago stating she WILL NOT worship MR. Floyd as a martyr for Black Americans for he was not and yet he is being worshipped by the MSM, Politicians, Hollywood, clergyman, pro-sports and even law enforcement.

The City of Dallas Texas took down the bronze statue of a Texas Ranger at Love Field Air terminal which stood inside for 50 years because he represents a Law Enforcement Officer and oppression. If President Trump wins in November and I pray to God he does, most likely he will be the last Republican president we might see in our lifetime. The demographic shift which is now occurring in the United States will ensure this and that is why the Democrats want an open border these people swarming across will vote Democrat and why would you not when you are promised FREE healthcare, college, food stamps, and everything under the sun. So what was a great experiment called the United States of America is coming to an end as we know it, just remember you are watching its very demise every nite on the news. God save us all.

TJM,

Thanks for the laugh about mentally unstable Vigano who was sacked for duplicity and gross incompetence.

Here’s one back for you from a much higher authority, the Vicar of Christ...

“His words during the audience and later in a statement indicated that he considers George Floyd’s death to be a result of racism. His carefully chosen words left no room for equivocation: Any Catholic who claims “to defend the sacredness of every human life” must combat racism and exclusion in all its forms.

Francis is well aware that a sizable number of Catholics and other Christians in the United States limit the defense of “the sacredness of human life” mainly to abortion, but do not view racism, the death penalty or other forms of exclusion—like mistreatment of migrants—as life issues. In today’s message, the pope underlined the full teaching of the church regarding “the defense of the sacredness of every human life” as expressed in the Second Vatican Council. He does not want this teaching to be reduced and manipulated for political or ideological reasons

“At the same time,” he said, “we have to recognize that “the violence of recent nights is self-destructive and self-defeating. Nothing is gained by violence and so much is lost.” These words were a direct quote from a recent statement by Archbishop José Gomez, the president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Vatican News said.”

(taken from America magazine article).

UK guy, your scurrilous attacks on pro Life Catholics is a stereotype type. It is like say those who oppose the death penalty as well as embracing illegal immigration are also pro abortion! Oh wait....

UK "Priest"

You are the only joke I laugh at. A politically correct person masquerading as a priest.

You aren't a man like Archbishop Vigano who is speaking truth to power. He took on the Vatican for being complicit in shielding homosexual Mr. McCarrick, the former Archbishop of Washington, DC. The Vatican is still sitting on the investigative report likely because it implicates a lot of liberal clergy. You sound like someone who would be a fan of McCarrick who parroted a lot of the same liberal nonsense that you do.

You are trumpeting silly liberal nostrums and prejudices so you will be petted by your liberal masters.

America a a left-wing rag just your Tablet aka the Bitter Pill.

Archbishop Vigano has fallen into the trap of neo-gnostic conspiracy theorism.

He refers to the "deep state" and to Masonic globalism, all without giving evidence of any kind that these notions are anything other than fantasies.

Oh, but HE has the secret knowledge that leads him to conclude that these things are true!

Archbishop Vigano, publish the names, publish the evidence. Otherwise, you are just another crackpot who should be wearing a tin-foil zuchetto.

Fr. Allan J. McDonald said...

Archbishop Vigano has discredited himself in terms of his emotional accusatory rantings and I agree he is a neo gnostic. It is a pity because if he had been more measured and diplomatic he would be taken more seriously.7

TJM said...

Father McDonald,

So you are dismissing what he had to say about Mr. McCarrick and the Vatican's non response?

I notice you can be a bit emotional at times, but that is what I like about you

johnnyc said...

Fr. McDonald.....diplomatic? We don't need diplomats, we need fighters. Jesus was not diplomatic....I am the Way, the Truth and the Life....and not very diplomatic in John 6.

And what secret knowledge do you need to know that spiritual warfare is going on? It's happeming right before your eyes.

And where is that McCarrick report?

TJM asks: "So you are dismissing what he had to say about Mr. McCarrick and the Vatican's non response?"

Fr. McDonald states: "Archbishop Vigano has discredited himself in terms of his emotional accusatory rantings and I agree he is a neo-gnostic."

TJM, even you, with your inability to grasp reality, ought to be able to figure this one out yourself.

johnnyc - The "secret knowledge" that Archbishop Vigano thinks he knows is who the members of the "Deep State" are and who the members of the "Masonic Globalists" are who are plotting to destroy President Trump and take over the world. (read his letter in support of Trump.)

He's just a short hop, skip, and jump away from blaming the "Rothschilds."

UK-Priest said...

Fr McD - nowhere did I attack the American pro-life movement. I simply posted the words of the Holy Father and Archbishop Gomez that you cant claim to be pro-life unless you uphold the sanctity of life across the board. Are you saying Pope Francis is making a scurrilous attack on the pro-life movement because that sounds like a very scurrilous attack upon the Vicar of Christ? If so, I suggest you take the issue up with them!

TJM - Yes I think most people would agree that the Vatican investigation into Cardinal McCarrick is long overdue. Hopefully it’s because a thorough review was undertaken, plus publication of the report was delayed due to the coronavirus epidemic and now American civil unrest which makes the timing problematic. I also suspect it has also been diplomatically challenging since any investigation is likely to highlight the administrative shortcomings of Pope Benedict’s reign, after all it was during this time that McCarrick was promoted and not placed under any formal restrictions when his celibacy infringements came to light. Francis inherited this mess and I can’t see how he can blamed for what happened while he was still an Argentinian bishop. It was Francis that stripped McCartick from the College of Cardinals and laicised him.

UK Priest-

You will find that the blog owner frequently twists the ideas that some, like you, present here.

There are, I think, a couple of reason why he does this:

1. He doesn't take the time to read what people post. He finds a word or two that seem to him to be important, and his emotions take over as he writes - really, struggles to write - some sort of response. It turns out, as you note, that he accuses posters of saying things they simply didn't say. No, you never attacked the pro-life movement.

2. He reads a post, but can formulate no sensible response. That being the case, he makes some silly assertion such as "You've proved my point!" or "I'm glad you agree with me!" when, in fact, the post he is commenting on doesn't prove his point and doesn't agree with his position.

So, that's how it often works with Fr. McDonald. Forewarned is forearmed.

You will find that any rational discussion with TJM of any topic is impossible. You can try, but...

Anonymous K at 9:14,

Look in the mirror. You can’t even answer a simple question: why allows thousands at protests with no social distancing but limit churches to minuscule numbers.

Anonymous at 9:16 p.m. on June 6:

Some attacking the protests point to the criminal history of George Floyd, as in this New York Post article:

https://nypost.com/2020/06/02/george-floyd-had-violent-criminal-history-minneapolis-union-chief/

The article links to a report in the U.K’s Daily Mail but then conveniently omits all mention of George Floyd’s reformed life, which the linked article in the Mail also discusses:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8366533/George-Floyd-moved-Minneapolis-start-new-life-released-prison-Texas.html

And here is some more context, again from the Mail, on the Police Chief who charged the media with overlooking George Floyd’s criminal history:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8379395/Trump-supporting-Minneapolis-police-federation-leader-calls-George-Floyd-violent-criminal.html

By the way, the Daily Mail is not exactly a liberal newspaper (this is an example of British understatement).

P.S. Anonymous:

But I do agree that the level of Black on Black crime definitely needs to be part of the conversation. And this conversation must honestly and courageously examine the reasons—all of the reasons—for such crime, which I suspect will require honesty and courage on all sides. And it too will require listening to what others have to say, on all sides.

Has anyone here seen or heard Dr Taylor Marshall and his guests greatly praise Vigano on numerous YouTube clips? Even selling pro Vigano T shirts and coffee cups!

Also, Marshall challenges anti Vigano Catholics to claim that several popes over a century in modern times were also "tin foil hat" conspiracy theorists when they repeatedly wrote about the serious threat of Freemasons as individuals and a group to the Catholic Church.

TJM - Fr. Kavanaugh and others have responded to your comments and questions on earlier threads. You, then, in your typically childish and uncharitable manner, came back at them with rudeness and derision. You make assertions here, and when asked for any supporting argument, you let loose with a tirade that inevitably ends with "abortion."

What on earth makes you think that anyone take you seriously or respond to you now?
