GESU CHURCH ROME AND ITS FAKE ALTAR AND FAKE EXTENDED ALTAR STAGE/PLATFORM

We all know Vatican II taught that magnificent churches needed this kind of altar and sanctuary. To question this is to question an infallible ecumenical council and the Magisterium, both ordinary and extraordinary and thus makes the questioning Catholic schismatic.

LOL - looks like a block from a toy set.

Off topic, but I thought you might be interested in this Father McDonald:

His Excellency Most Reverend Salvatore Cordileone, Archbishop of San Francisco, made reparation and the site in Golden Gate Park where a statue of St. Junipero Serra was torn down.

Then the Archbishop – God Bless him and his tribe – read the Title XI Chapter 3 Exorcism against Satan and the Fallen Angels at the site.

Father McDonald,

Here is another timely piece for you to consider writing about:

Fr. Stephen Schumacher, a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, was among the defenders of a prominent statue of the city’s [St. Louis, MO] namesake as protesters called for its removal Saturday.

Umar Lee, an organizer of the protests, said June 27 that the statue “is gonna come down,” reported Joel Currier of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “This guy right here represents hate and we're trying to create a city of love. We're trying to create a city where Black lives matter. We're trying to create a city where there is no antisemitism or Islamophobia … this is not a symbol of our city in 2020."

Fr. Schumacher, whose priestly ordination was in May 2019, addressed a shouting mob, attempting to inform them about St. Louis’ life, saying, “St. Louis was a man who willed to use his kingship to do good for his people.”

Moji Sidiqi of the Regional Muslim Action Network, another organizer of the protest, said: "It's a revolution. It's time for change … right now, our number one mission is to take this thing down and sit down with people who want to see positive change take place and continue to heal our country."

Only the naive do not recognize that BLM is a Marxist organization hellbent on destroying Western Civilization and the Catholic Faith. I guess Sidiqi isn't much into "ecumenism" which should not come as a surprise. Ecumenism is a one way street to lefties

These gimcrack additions are totally out of keeping with their surroundings and the best thing about them is that they can easily be dismantled. Not that the Jesuits are likely to see sense any time soon.

Now for the good news. Public Masses will resume in England next Saturday. The Oxford Oratory has scheduled an additional weekday Mass - in the Extraordinary Form. Before the lockdown the EF was only offered on Sundays and Holy Days. However, since March it has been live-streamed from the Fathers' private chapel daily at 8 a.m.

I predicted then that when the church re-opened the daily EF Mass would become a permanent feature, and this is what has happened.

it's tacky to say the least, but them that describes a lot of V2 anyway

John Nolan,

I have good news. My country church which had a monthly EF now has a weekly one because it was drawing more people than the OF. The lefty priest posting here will be shattered as will Mark Thomas!

Yes, I have seen those tiny cube altars in use many times and they have never made any sense to me. Another common altar I have seen in newer churches are wooden ones that are designed to look like tables. One in particular had a table drawer for its relics, and there was no altar stone in sight? Are altar stones required? In comment to the removal of St Louis statue in Saint Louis Missouri. If people recall, the statue removal started with confederate statues in the south. It then morphed into the removal of statues like Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. Junípero Serra was an early target too. The Southern Poverty Law Center lists several "Radical Traditional Catholicism" groups as "hate groups." I know little about Radical Traditional Catholicism and I doubt followers of SPLC or BLM know much about it either. There are a lot of cities and towns named after Catholic Saints or have Judeo-Christian names. Its not long before the Roman Catholic Church is listed on those sites as a hate group. With that I can see places like San Fransisco and Saint Louis loosing their names along with their statues. The angry mob does have an agenda.

Anonymous,

BLM is a Marxist organization. They are following the Marxist playbook, just like what happened in Russia. Our useful idiots in the media are assisting them.

Ugly, out of place, no attempt made to blend with original fixtures, undersized, minimalist etc. I could go on for half a day as to how bad this is with grandeur sitting unused but several feet behind.
