This is not really off topic,

Google: “Return to Tradition, Cardinals Burke and Muller Strike Back at Heretic Bishops”

Why has most Catholic media ignored the very recent (bombshell) public statements of these 2 cardinals on “Heretic Bishops” ?

….Also, how much mainstream media coverage has been given to the big uptake in attacks on Christian, especially Catholic, churches since the Dobbs decision?
The Family Research Council states that in the first 3 months of this year there has been 69 attacks against churches, across 29 states, with North Carolina suffering the most - these attacks are often vandalism, but include arson, attempted arson and even gun related incidents.

To repeat, how much coverage of this by the mainstream media is there? Almost nothing.

FRC has noted a very recent increased animosity, hostility and anger towards Christian churches and even some Christian people by radical secular pro choice, pro LGBT activists who often truly HATE any group that disputes their secular dogmas of abortion on demand for any reason or no reason, same sex marriage and transgenderism etc.

David Carlin's article in question has featured extreme historical revisionism.

The article begins:

"...there are degrees of political leftism, some very mild, some stronger, and some way too strong."

"The mildest degree is what used to be called liberalism...I mean the liberalism of the old days, the kind of liberalism characterized by Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon Johnson. New Deal liberalism it may be called."

"I myself am a liberal of that old kind. It’s a liberalism that is relatively conservative."

=======================================================================================

David Carlin has forgotten that during the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, the right-wing, within, and without, the Church, insisted that the supposed "mild" liberalism of those days constituted an horrific force that had unleashed economic, as well as moral, ruin upon America.

Conservatives have long denounced "New Deal liberalism" as having established economic ruin via the welfare state...also as having established the destruction of the family...destruction of morality.

During the 1930s (even earlier), liberalism had promoted artificial birth control.

From there, liberalism had advanced the causes of abortion, as well as homosexuality.

It is unbelievable that a conservative publication has promoted David Carlin's support of supposed "conservative" New Deal liberalism...liberalism that conservatives have long denounced as an horrific, destructive force.

Pax.
