Ugly Churches are an irritation. The reason many folks are leaving is the cult of homosexuality among the clergy
Funny thing is I went to college in St Joe in the late 80’s. Many of us went to this church because our college church was so ugly.
The drive to strip Catholics of their faith and identity has been very effective. You are just another christian now! I remember the drive to refer to us as Christian not Catholic. Now we are just "people of faith". How inclusive.
Also this drives the "priest as the center of attention" idea. Weather our leftist friends want to admit it or not
Someone should tell them the iconoclast heresy ended over a millennia ago.
What does this supposedly inspire other than a yearning by attendees to move on to their breakfast donut?
This too shall pass. Just think of all the artisans who will be employed by parishes when all these churches are restored to their original beauty.... And the ugly ones torn down and rebuilt (well, one can always hope)!
