And in our chapel, so the Mass was ad orientem!

Noble simplicity!

You have said in the past that no one comments when you do this. That surprises me. It seems that someone would ask, even a young server or an elderly parishioner. We have a men’s group that mainly share petitions for prayer but also have discussions that mirror the topics of this blog. They are mostly young husbands and fathers who are seeking more knowledge of our faith. Those sorts would be very inquisitive about such things.

Noble simplicity as it was intended to be. Everything in its expected place. I really like this chapel and would enjoy attending there weekly if I were part of your parish.

Since this is a 'low' Mass, and the chalice set with its veil and burse are already on the altar, it would make more sense to do the introductory and concluding rites at the altar, facing liturgical east, rather than at the sedilia, facing liturgical north. It also means that the missal with its stand can remain on the altar throughout.
