As it concerns the second photo, this is my preference for the marvelous and traditional Benedictine Altar arrangement when the celebrant is facing the nave. I prefer the candlesticks to be upon a reredos behind the altar and not on the altar itself and the crucifix above the altar, preferably hanging.
As it concerns both photos above, did your celebrant at the All Souls Day Mass wear black?
I did at Hilton Head Island’s Holy Family Church’s 8 AM All Souls’ Day Mass. Nice, no?
