Interesting that they had the Chrism Mass at St Marks which is a pretty traditional novus ordo parish I believe. They used to put out kneelers that looked like an altar rail...I see these have been removed.
David - You can see what you want. What is actually there is furniture that fits the need of the moment. If you look at this link, you can see the same arrangement from 2025. You will note that the narrow table-like furniture is barely wider than the altar, so there no "barrier" being put in place.
Unless you think the urns for the oil should be placed on the floor...?

Do I see an unnecessary barrier erected in the Sanctuary? Was such divisiveness authorised
