Doctrine of the Faith: Monogamy is not a limitation but a promise of the infinite
The doctrinal Note Una caro. In Praise of Monogamy has been published, exploring the value of marriage as an “exclusive union and mutual belonging.” It highlights the importance of conjugal charity and attentiveness to the poor, and condemns all forms of violence, both physical and psychological. In an individualistic and consumerist age, young people must be educated to understand love as responsibility and trust in the other.

-- ‘Una caro: In praise of monogamy’: A brief guide for busy readers
https://www.pillarcatholic.com/p/una-caro-in-praise-of-monogamy-a
Excerpt:
"Una caro has 256 footnotes. The most frequently cited figure is Pope Francis, especially his 2016 post-synodal apostolic exhortation Amoris laetitia, on love in the family."
=======
In line with the above from The Pillar:
As I read the document, and examined the footnotes, it was obvious that Pope Leo XIV's Una Caro has relied heavily upon Pope Francis' (requiescat in pace) teachings.
In particular, as The Pillar noted, Pope Leo XIV's Una Caro has borrowed from Pope Francis' Amoris Laetitia. That is interesting in light of the following:
Pope Francis' haters have assured us that Amoris Laetita is rotten to its core.
Just three days ago, for example, Rorate Caeli had declared that conservative bishops from the United States "were the most inclined to outright dislike documents such as Amoris Laetitia, which threatened to muddle traditional moral doctrine."
Conversely, Pope Leo XIV, via Una Caro, has promoted Amoris Laetitia to the hilt.
=======
If anything, from May 8th to date, Pope Leo XIV's endless positive references to Pope Francis/Pope Francis' teachings have demonstrated the following:
Pope Francis' haters, as they were at war with said Pope, failed to reap the abundant holy benefits that had flowed from God through Pope Francis.
The haters in question, as they had attacked Pope Francis' beautiful teachings repeatedly, squandered holy opportunity upon holy opportunity to have heard the voice of Jesus Christ.
=======
Deo gratias that time and again, Pope Leo XIV has demonstrated the holiness, as well as spiritual greatness, that, to God's great glory, had marked Pope Francis' Pontificate.
Pax.

It was written for the most part during Francis’ papacy and meant to clean up the anger of Africans about FS while reminding them of the immorality of heterosexual polygamy.
Can polygamists in their constituted relationships, together be blessed?
Only one particular relationship, it would seem from Una Caro. That seems discriminatory and, dare I say, racist.

NO to gay marriage but civil unions are (still) ok!
Civil unions that are not of a sexual nature are neutral. The term okay is in no Church document. I am sure that is what you meant.
