Solidarity with the poor also means paying big bucks to some guy to hop around the sanctuary and blow bubbles. Yes, this happened in the Archdiocese of Chicago... this decade.
I liked the sign interpreter. There aren’t many priests able to offer mass using sign language so I’m sure such a service is well appreciated by the deaf community.
I use to think in my self-righteousness, that if I, as a layperson, found myself in a parish that I belonged to, and there was liturgical abuse or horrid liturgies, that I would bear the Cross and be grateful for ex opere operato. But after viewing this Mass, I think I would go somewhere else or not go at all as it would be a violence to my CAtholic faith. If there was no Catholic Mass in my area, I would find a high Anglican Church, not receive of course, or better yet, Eastern Orthodox Church and only receive if I were give permission by the pastor, who more than likely would not and I would respect that!
Looks like children’s mass at a very popular mega church type arrangement. Not entirely my cup of tea and a few things need reigning back but I don’t see that there’s a lot to jump up and down about.

The bare arms to the elbow and the brown shoes were especial highlights

What a travesty! Were I subjected to such nonsense in my territorial parish, I would find my way to the TLM just to preserve my sanity.

JP2 used to wear brown shoes!

There are many priests who cannot offer Mass in Latin, a real tragedy!
