Fr. McD: It could be worse. Much worse. I was just thanking God this morning this hurricane Irma has done far less damage and far less loss of life than expected in the U.S., and thanking Him for His mercy.
My power was out for about 6 hours but no damage. A lot of trees down all over Macon. Given what those in Texas and Florida have gone through, I'm not complaining. There were a large number of Floridians staying at motels in the area. I also noticed some RV's with Florida tags. Think about those families with young children and some with newborns to take care of. I really feel for those people and what some of them will go back to. They need our continued prayers and whatever donations we can provide.

Be careful, Father. And no hurricane parties in your shelter...
Stay inside today. Storm will end soon.

And at least you have a place to "go"...yuk, yuk.
Stay safe. It'll be past you soon.
God bless,
