All the Church-speak aside, it seems odd that a Pope who doesn’t like being told what to do is encouraging a mob anti-Catholics to make a to-do list for him.

The empty cassock - the greatest scourge to the Church since Attila the Hun. Only the braindead see otherwise!

On the one hand, I hope so - restore some sanity. On the other hand it would be sad to see the papacy devolve to the state of the US presidency where each time the guy changes he spends the first month undoing everything his predecessor did. Just another sign of how frivolous it all is.

So many tout Pope Francis’ humility, but in fact he is quite arrogant. He truly has enacted the canceling of two great papacies which interpreted Vatican II properly., renewal within continuity. Pope Francis does not accept that, he wants an entirely different Church and has said that many times. Thus this pope has politicized Catholicism by creating political factions. So we might continue to see this cancellation of previous popes according to party lines.

Father McDonald,

Be prepared for an avalanche of non sequiturs and holy holies from our resident papalator

Father McDonald, I am certain that you referenced the "two great papacies" of: Popes Blessed John Paul I, as well as Saint Paul VI. :-)

Those two great papacies had "interpreted Vatican II properly." Correct?

:-)

Hoping the next pope:

Cancels:
*Synodality
*TC

(hey, PF started RCC cancel culture)

Reinstates:
SP

Perhaps also revising the '62 Ceremonial allowing for the pope to celebrate solemnly as a bishop as there currently isn't a papal court. Don't strike the papal court, some day there might again be one.

Future:
Study the progression of the liturgical reforms in the '60s and revise the Roman Missal as had been called for. Gradually reintroduce the presbyterate and faithful to Roman tradition/praxis/norms. Perhaps TLM with a simplified ceremonial and latitude for vernacular, where appropriate, would preserve the tradition and make it more accessible to local churches. The TLM in Latin should be retained for purposes of uniting the global Roman Catholic community.
