I filled-in this past weekend at my former parish of Saint Anne Church in Richmond Hill, Georgia. Savannah is a suburb of this community. I married the couple pictured below, Allen Lee Malaise and Paula Michele Scott Malaise at our Cathedral on September 17, 1988. They were visiting their daughter here in Richmond Hill. They live in Iowa. After Mass they came up to me to tell me that I had celebrated their wedding with a photo to prove it! Comparing the two photos, then and today, you will note there are no differences!

FrAM. You are right. I am able to wash the grey out with little trouble. But now the drain is clogged. 👨🦲
Congrats to this couple!
However, things do change. Please put down your cup of coffee before reading the rantings of a so-called educated, hospital medical school professor (certainly not a Republican by the way):

PF and the USCCB will sit on their hands as usual.
The lovely young couple have not changed, but, you, Father...my doctor told me something which might help you... when I asked what was the matter with me nowadays, he said that I had been out of the fridge too long and was going bad.
I, too, am waiting the USCCB statement on Minotaurs.
Undoubtedly the language will be labyrinthine and possibly full of a lot of bull.
Didn't take long for hijackers to show up, all it takes is a window cracked open....there must be some obvious connection I am missing that exists between a priest, a couple to which he witnessed marriage years ago, a Fox news story on latest denial of reality fad where wishful thinking is all that matters, and the USCCB, although I CAN see the link between the latter two.
Like Abortion is Healthcare! That language is hardly labyrinthine but simpleton, lying nonsense, yet some priests and bishops vote for the Party that pushes that even though there is no proportionate reason for doing so!
Bob,
Just pointing out times have changed and the Church is full of corrupt bishops and priests.
I think we SHOULD talk about Minotaurs; they're so related to maniples, Benedictine altar arrangements, and beeswax candles!
Father McDonald, the other day you noted the story about the introduction of witchcraft into Tom Brady's marriage — a marriage that collapsed into divorce. It is all but a given that Mr. Brady's children will suffer in many ways from the divorce.
I compare the above to your thread yesterday in regard to Paula and Allen Malaise's 35-year marriage. I do not imagine that they have lived, by the world's standards, the wealthy, glamorous lives, that the Bradys have experienced.
The Malaise marriage may have experienced a few difficulties...I don't know. But Paula and Allen Malaise have maintained their 35-year marriage. They did not subject their children to the scourge of divorce.
The moral of the story is that a married couple should invite God, rather, than Satanic occult practices, into his and her marriage.
============================================
Nearly 35 years have passed since the Malaise's day of marriage. Via their vocation as a married couple, they continue, in powerful fashion, to witness to God's glory and majesty.
Father McDonald, 35 years later, via your vocation as God's holy priest, you continue, in powerful fashion, to witness to God's glory and majesty.
Speaking spiritually, this is a wonderful, uplifting thread. There is much to contemplate here.
Father McDonald, thank you.
Psx.

Fr. Michael J. Kavanaugh said..."I, too, am waiting the USCCB statement on Minotaurs. Undoubtedly the language will be labyrinthine and possibly full of a lot of bull."
Father, I must admit I used to have a dubious opinion about some of your opinions. But after you were able to call up the scene in Moonstruck that I referenced a good while back (my favorite part of the movie), I thought to myself, "Well, he can't be all that bad."
But now this! "Minotaurs, labyrinthine, a lot of bull." Too funny.
I'll "one up" you.
Instead of the USCCB issuing a statement on Minotaurs, if the statement comes from the Vatican, it will be drafted in the catacombs and qualify as a papal bull.
Kavanaugh, you have such wonderful manners on others' sites. You really should start your own blog on the joys of white polyester potato sacks accented by chic rainbow neck scarves, how cirgarettes and beer are a divine combo, and how rewarding it is to celebrate Mass for unrepentant cannibals, child molesters and sodomites. I can guarantee millions of people, including myself, will be the first to utterly ignore you....but you WILL get a Vatican dicastery.
Bob, your range of interests - they're yours, not mine - is certainly eccentric, to put it mildly. I wonder what it reveals about you. . .
Fr K supports abortion on demand, gay marriage and the sexual grooming of children. It’s his voting record which confirms this. His Party supports intrinsic evil. A one way ticket to hell! If his congregation, assuming it is Catholic, knew this, his bishop would be flooded with requests that he be dismissed from the clerical state.
TJM is a liar. Everyone here knows that.
