One of the ten victims of the mass shooting in Colorado was a Boulder Police Officer, Eric Talley, 11 year vet, 51 years old, husband, father of 7. He responded to the incident and he was killed.
Officer Talley and family belong to Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Littleton, staffed by priests of the FSSP, which celebrates the Traditional Latin Mass
A Solemn Requiem Mass for Officer Eric Talley is on Monday.

May he rest in peace
I lived in Castle Rock Colorado just 20 minutes South of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel it was my parish!!!! A wonderful and thriving TLM parish how very very sad.
One of my seminary classmates is pastor of that parish.
And if those 10 murders are not cause enough for the death penalty?!?!???
Fr. Kavanaugh,
Sounds like your seminary classmate matured in his Faith.
he Faithful at this church will be praying for his soul.
In the last few days the news has reported that Virginia has abolished the death penalty. Really? So the unborn are now protected in that state---or just heinous criminals? You could just hear Rachel Maldow on MSNBC (or MSDNC as Hannity calls it) oozing praise for Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, who had been trying to eliminate the death penalty for years---but only for the worst of the worst, not for the unborn. Yet she describes him as a "devout Catholic". Really? Maybe she could name one pro-life measure he has ever supported?
Devout Catholic? LOL. Probably to Maddow, Hitler was a devout Catholic since he was baptized a Catholic
