Watch the unveiling of the new reredos in this Filipino Cathedral at Facebook HERE.
Please note the altar railing too!
What is peculiar is that it appears this magnificent building is multi-purpose as people are sitting at tables where they will eat food at a banquet following the unveiling.
I wonder if this was a public building, like the Pantheon in Rome, that has been repurposed for liturgical use as their Cathedral. I am sure MT can find out for us!

This cathedral appears to be a work in progress.

The reredos is magnificent and its unveiling dramatic.
Hopefully, the tables are temporary as construction and usage evolves.
Father McDonald, here is a brief 2022 A.D. animated visualization of the Cathedral as offered by RLMJ Architectural Designs.

Beginning at the :48 mark, pews are depicted as part of the Cathedral.
A plethora of pews. :-)
Pax.

Nice.
I’m not keen for altar rails but have seen so many cathedrals / large churches with roped off stands around the sanctuary that I think they’re preferable than the alternative
for well attended / tourist spots - but ideally at floor level and unobtrusive.
I think they should keep the round dining tables and use it as a semi/restaurant!
