PLEASE POPE LEO! PLEASE POPE LEO! PLEASE POPE LEO! (AS I BEAT MY BREAST THREE TIMES TOO!) REINSTITUTE SUMMORUM PONTIFICUM!

Can you imagine on the First Sunday of Advent in 1969 when the New Roman Missal became mandatory and the priest celebrating the Mass did this at the Introductory Rite, formerly known as the Prayers at the Foot of the Altar?

Press HERE to view the Facebook video.

It is this kind of liturgical abuse, which today, no one sees as an abuse, except those familiar with the TLM or the Novus Ordo celebrated by the book and reverently, as well as prayerfully.

Mind you, this is taking place at the very beginning of Mass when the congregation and the priests and other ministers should be entering into the mystery of prayer in a contemplative way, only to have that trajectory of prayer, beginning with the Entrance Chant and procession completely interrupted for these kinds of foolishness.

One of the reasons why I love the TLM is because these kinds of idiotic antics don’t take place during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It simply doesn’t happen and for the most part, would be very difficult to have happen. Perhaps it could happen during the homily, but technically, in the TLM, the homily is viewed as “outside” of Mass. It is allowed for the chasuable and maniple to be removed for the homily and in older churches the pulpit is outside the altar railing.

But, somehow in a secular, entertaining, organic way, the nonsense in the Facebook video I post above, has organically developed over the last 54 years. How in the Name of God and all that is Holy, this happened is beyond me.

On a post on “X”, Fr. Dwight Longenecker hits the nail on the head about how these antics in the Modern Mass have evolved and developed in an organic, worship as entertainment way.

Fr. Dwight Longenecker:

When the priest faces the people for Mass it is difficult for him to avoid going into performance mode, and this has led to the unfortunate predominance of priest-centered masses and the "Father Fabulous" game show host type celebration.

And the truly sad thing is that the vast majority of Modern Mass goers have been cooked in the crockpot of the absurd happening during Mass and are in no way offended by this kind of liturgical abuse. In fact, they don’t see it as an abuse and thus they just simply love it. Yes, they love it.

Pope Leo, we beg you, do something about this and be as cruel trying to stamp out this idiocy as Pope Francis was in trying to stamp out the TLM! Use your authority in an authoritarian way and send the fires of hell on this nonsense.

Okay, I feel better now!

Father, Father, Father...

After all these years, you don't know active participation practically depends on knowing how stinky the priest is?

"Look at me, look at me, look at me". I guarantee that geriatric front row ate that garbage up. "Oh, he's so nice and friendly....Oh, he so handsome". I can hear it now.

tand this as a manifestation of 'community'. It is important for the congregation to have a sense of the person who is their priest as an extension of family. Aside from the interruption of worship and prayer I am always sad to see people want to leave immediately after Mass rather than enjoy true community time. That would be a great time to meet with the new priests and listen to stories. Even sing some of the atrocious tunes that have no place in the Mass can be played on guitar, zither, banjo, mandolin, etc. People have so little time for God, the Church, and each other that they rob even those few moments of focused worship to focus on themselves.

An interesting point. I wonder if there's any way to study whether people, wanting to just put in their "one hour" for God a week, still want to socialize with those with whom they worship; this would ordinarily require spending more than an hour "at" church, but that's not so much of a problem when you turn the Mass itself into socializing.

Should Pope Leo XIV move us beyond Traditionis Custodes, it will not be that said document is based upon lies.

Louie Verrecchio offered recently an in-depth response to the old, tired, Diane Montagna claim that Traditionis Custodes is based upon lies — that she had resurrected a couple of weeks ago.

-- Diane Montagna’s Empty BOMBSHELL

=======

Yesterday, in response to Diane Montagna's new supposed "bombshell" information, Louie offered the following updated in-depth response:

https://akacatholic.com/update-montagnas-bombshell-still-empty/

-- UPDATE: Montagna’s BOMBSHELL still empty

Louie, July 15, 2025

=======

"On July 10, Diane Montagna published a follow-up to her previous article...Montagna’s July 10 article offers no new revelations that would suggest otherwise, in fact, on the contrary: The “new evidence” that she provides only serves to confirm that the BOMBSHELL is, in fact, empty."

"My interest at present concerns the degree to which certain tradservative media charlatans are leveraging the Francis lied! accusation for all its worth, doing their best to capitalize on the emotional frenzy that they themselves are instigating.

"I’m not just talking about mistaken conclusions here (e.g., as drawn by Diane Montagna), but rather outright lies that are being told by Bergoglio’s accusers, men who most certainly know better, presumably in order to grow the size of their naïve audience (read: donor base).

=======

Among the anti-Pope Francis (requiescat in pace) lies that Louie documented is the following from Taylor Marshall, who pretended that Pope Francis had said, "I have to intervene and restrict the Traditional Latin Mass because it’s bad for the Church."

Louie responded: "Marshall knows very well that Francis never said any such thing."

=======

Louie noted also the anti-Pope Francis nonsense that Michael Matt has generated in wake of the nonsense that Diane Montagna has generated.

Pope Francis haters have pounced upon Diane Montagna's empty "bombshell" report to continue their defamatory war against Pope Francis.

Louie concluded his current article having noted that "...at least some of those commentators beating the Francis lied! drum...should be ashamed of themselves."

Pax.

Wait until these guys hear about some of the totally fake things the popes have relied upon in the past to justify their actions!
