Funny and sad at the same time.
RCG, today’s feast of St. Lawrence, deacon and martyr, legend lends us a case where an early martyr has a sense of humor while being martyred on a grill. “I’m done on this side, turn me over,” or words to that effect. In today’s Church, the only way we sane people can survive what is happening is with a sense of humor, funny and sad at the same time!
Hah! I remember that story often. We were pretty somber last night reflecting on the electoral defeat of the change to our state constitution in Ohio. Not really that bad, nor expected. It appears a lesson was learned and better results can be had when we flip to the other side.
Should we expect Bruce Wayne to make an appearance?
