THEY HAVE OPENED THE RESTAURANTS (NOT CHURCHES) IN OUR DIOCESE. AT LEAST THAT'S BACK TO NORMAL!

I understand the Justice Department has indicated that governmental orders closing churches are unconstitutional. I wonder if our cowardly bishops will now re-open Churches notwithstanding the orders of certain fascist governors who hate religion anyway?
"I understand the Justice Department has indicated that governmental orders closing churches are unconstitutional."
Old News. Three weeks old.
"Today, [14 April 2020] the Department filed a Statement of Interest in support of a church in Mississippi that allegedly sought to hold parking lot worship services, in which congregants listened to their pastor preach over their car radios, while sitting in their cars in the church parking lot with their windows rolled up. The City of Greenville fined congregants $500 per person for attending these parking lot services – while permitting citizens to attend nearby drive-in restaurants, even with their windows open.[1] The City appears to have thereby singled churches out as the only essential service (as designated by the state of Mississippi) that may not operate despite following all CDC and state recommendations regarding social distancing."
More old news.
Bishops have closed Catholic churches, not "fascist governors who hate religion."
And one hardly thinks that the Mississippi governor Tate Reeves is anti-religion. "Reeves refused to announce stay-at-home orders, telling people to trust in the "power of prayer."
Reeves is a member, Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church. He serves on the board of Millsaps College, his alma mater, a Methodist-founded institution. He is a participant in Stewpot ministries in Jackson, Mississippi. "Stewpot Community Services provides thousands of men, women and children with hot meals, groceries, clothing, shelter, childcare, mentoring and other programs to nurture them and help them get back on their feet. We believe the sacred is encountered in the common events in like, like sharing a meal. We are all fed, spiritually and physically, by our fellowship with each other." "Stewpot hosts inter-faith worship services six days a week immediately preceding lunch. Ministers of different denominations lead the services. All participating in the service are encouraged to share their gifts during this time in singing, Scripture reading and prayer."
My little country Church in Indiana is resuming public Masses. Here is what our pastor had to say about receiving Holy Communion (he is 32 years old and offers the EF once a month):
Communion will only be offered under one species, you are not obliged to receive Holy Communion. o IF RECEIVING COMMUNION ON THE TONGUE: Be sure to extend your tongue out so that the celebrant can easily place the Sacred Host on your tongue. o IF RECEIVING COMMUNION IN THE HAND: Be sure to hold your palms out flat so that the celebrant can easily place the Sacred Host on the palm of your hand. DO NO CUP YOUR HAND or grab for the Host with your fingers.
Thank God my pastor has not bought into the no Holy Communion on the tongue nonsense of the old lefties in the Church

You understand? I don't think you do.
Anonymous K,
It is not old news at all and bishops have closed churches because of governmental coercian.
Ah, you must be proud of the Texas (Dem) judge who threw a hairdresser in the slammer for 7 days and fined her $7,000. Sounds like your kind of guy
