I'm leaving on Wednesday for my winter vacation in Miami Beach. I just looked at the long term forecast, bright, sunny, warm, cloudless, in the 70's and near 80's everyday. I'll be back in the office on January 15! I don't know if I will blog or not as I only have a blackberry with me that I can post comments, but not posts. If I get access to a computer I might post my sun tanning pictures. Of course my now removed Basel cell carcinoma will be covered. I wonder if I will run into the former Catholic, now Episcopal and tell all author, Fr. Cutie?
Don't let your eyes deceive you, this is not me but Fr. Cutie (KOO-T-A) the Catholic father
Fr. Cutie, the Episcopalian, an new friends

I doubt if you'll run into Fr. Cutie. He's probably keeping a low profile, since the media got what they wanted: another priest to leave the Catholic Church.
Is this the priest that was caught on the beach with his girlfriend and ran over to the Episcopal church when he got caught?
S L, one in the same, once he was caught, the Episcopal Church swooped down and picked up him, dusted him off and bless him and his breaking of promises and received him into the Episcopal Church. What is a sin in the Episcopal Church when it comes to the flesh?
Hard to say, father. One could make a comment about old Henry VII, but that is too easy. I sincerely hope he can keep this vow, but that can only be tested by time. I have to wonder if the standards for a priest in the C of E is purely educational with out much thought given to commitment.
One is drawn to compare the relative flow of converts and contemplate the adage, "You are known by the company you keep".

Unfortunately Alberto Cutie is not keeping a low profile. He is now publishing a book: http://www.ncregister.com/blog/fr.-cutie-fallen-priest-writes-self-justifying-book/
I am afraid that Cutie has a bit of a narcissistic personality and thus he feels he should be able to do whatever he wants and not suffer any consequences; so there must be sour grapes involved. He was a celebrity in the Spanish speaking world. Priesthood and celebrity are a dangerous mix.
Cutie? Cootie...I think I'd change my name...
Seriously, most other Protestants considered the Episcopalian church as the last step before Unitarianism. Once these people were able to surrender any pretense of true belief and give up the aesthetics of their liturgy, they fit right in with the "theology is philosophy, Christianity is social work, morality is subjective" crowd. They can boast of C.S. Lewis, but he came to them late after Tolkien converted him to Christianity. Tolkein, a devout Catholic, was much disappointed that Lewis chose the Church of England over the Catholic Church.
