Agree.

I gather certain diocese have insults allowing blue.

Given the exalted place Mother Mary enjoys in the Church, I've never understood why it's not universal.

When I was an altar boy long, long ago, on Marian feasts our priests generally wore a white chasuble that was trimmed out in blue and generally had an image of the Blessed Mother on the chasuble

Spain and her colonies have an indult. So I have seen this practiced in South America and even Florida.

I've always hoped for approval for the use of navy blue vestments for Advent, highlighting the Marian flavor of the season and distinguishing it from Lent's violet. Marini's is a little too "Robin's Egg" for my tastes.

Agree with Fr. MJK.

From my serving days, my blue stichar/sticharion, made in Russia, was a deep royal blue.
