Given the schismatic German Synodal Way, this sounds like doctrinal branch of the CDF can focus on heterodoxy without being concerned with discipline which the disciplinary branch would focus upon. Am I missing anything stealthy 🥷?
Lifesite isn’t that reputable and Francis could do what they say by maintaining the status quo and assigning a heterodox bishop there if he wants that. But the Vatican report says it is to uphold the faith and morals of the Church.
