IS IT INSULTING TO CALL THE FEAST OF THE PURIFICATION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, AKA, THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD IN THE TEMPLE, AKA, CANDLEMAS AND ALSO AKA, GROUND HOG DAY?

 Today in the Catholic Church (February 2) or (To/Too/Two 2) is the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple. It is also known as the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is also known as Candlemas as candles are lighted and blessed as a prelude to the Mass of this day. (We’ll do this at Saint Anne’s 9 AM Mass.)
