The priestly ordination, although I would suspect it is a diaconate ordination, took place in 1966 at my seminary’s chapel in Baltimore. That is a HUGE number of ordinands formed in a very strict, strictest in our country at that time, pre-Vatican II seminary and liturgy. Only a two years later there would be a student uprising and revolution focused on a coke machine and by the time I got there in 1976, this seminary was in free fall and never has fully recovered.

At the risk of provoking Anonymous, and giving said poster a daily dose of "Side Show grumpiness, uninformed piety, and anger", what did anyone expect when they opened the proverbial window to let in all that fresh air?
Not really a fair comparison but, weren't Cadillacs until they no longer were? Kind of the same thing here? We are NOW supposed to find the following to be inspiring (Cathedral of the Holy Family), and you are WRONG if you dont:
