TWO ASH WEDNESDAY INTERVIEWS, FOX AND CBS (LOCAL)

This first interview on our Fox affiliate took place prior to our school Mass at 1:30 PM Ash Wednesday. Why or why do I look older in it compared to the interview  below it that took place prior to our 7:00 PM Ash Wednesday Mass? The second is from our CBS Affiliate. Oh the humanity! Lights, camera, action! Wait! Make-up!

WMAZ has always been the best in town. Even the sound was better.

You look and sound fine! But I judge by those off the cuff remarks that you are open to liberal interpretation of 'dust'. Just like your boss.

RCG????Of course some of what I said ended up on the editing room floor--I stated in full, or something like this, that the ashes remind us of our mortality and that during the season of Lent we use the weapons of fasting, prayer and almsgiving allowing God to purify us of the works of sin, Satan and death. At Easter we recommit ourselves to our Baptismal promises by rejecting Satan and all his empty promises and professing our faith. The ashes remind us that we will return to the earth as we become dust but in the resurrection of the Body at the end of time, we will be joined to Christ and His glorious Risen Body.

That is a relief to know. Still you should prepare your texts in more detail, or maybe use a more common Italian dialect. ;-)
