WOW! SURREAL! SAD! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!

Please notice who has the "chair" of Peter and who has the couch! The Holy Father Emeritus seems to have failed even more since his renunciation:

Benedict still has a great head of hair! I only hope, if I should live to be his age, my hair will look as good. I was looking at some photos of a young Joseph Ratzinger, and he resembled a young Johnny Cash. God Bless Holy Father Benedict!

I so wish that Benedict had chosen his last years to be in the arms of the Faithful as head of the Church. It would have been a good time to stop the unnecessary travel, write and give us some really good Encyclicals on what his Pontificate was trying to do and what the correct interpretation of the whole Vatican II Council and what it meant in terms of Liturgy. I dislike terribly the thought that he is alone right now as the world focuses on a new Pope. Something just seems unjust about the whole thing. That would have a modern idea that Popes can do the travelling etc., at the beginnings of their Pontificates and then spend the final years explaining and writing about the things that perhaps there was simply no time to write or explain during the early years. My prayers are with both Pontiffs, but Benedict will always remain a Pope who is close to my heart for taking the time to explain to us about the Liturgy and its' proper execution. It is after all the Liturgy that most Catholics will encounter and hopefully embrace. It should not be devoid of both its' internal and external expressions.
