Bishop Strickland, removed for good cause from his diocese, although not properly canonically done by Pope Francis, needs to leave Bishop-Elect Hennen alone. His work with LGBTQ+ Catholics is no threat to Catholic sexual morality nor are any recommendations he has contributed to forming for the Diocese of Davenport’s LGBTQ+ ministries.
One wonders what Bishop Strickland would write about a bishop-elect who worked in prison ministry and the horrible crimes they have committed along with all those nasty tattoos, etc.
Why is Bishop Strickland so concerned about minor pastoral theology recommendations to include same sex attracted Catholics and Catholics with sexual dysfunctions in the Church?
Bishop Strickland offers a clarification and double down on Bishop-Elect Hennen and by way of him denigrating Pope Leo’s choice and raising red flags where there should be none.
You can read his further comments HERE.
And then the National Catholic Reporter is gushing over Pope Leo’s appointment of Bishop-Elect Hennen to the Diocese of Baker. You can read their mixed review HERE!
But the poor Bishop-Elect gets clobbered by more radical Catholics in this NCR article, in particular LGBTQ+ ideological groups, identifying as Catholic, like New Ways Ministry and Dignity, two groups that Jesuitical Father James Martin supports as these groups want to overturn Catholic sexual morality teachings. Courage, though, supports all Catholic moral teachings and the Church’s teachings on chastity within the context of one’s state in life. Bishop-Elect Hennen supports the work of Courage.
Just leave Bishop-Elect Hennen alone! He’s orthodox! He’s moral! and he’s pastoral! Thanks be to God.

God grant him peace, health and happiness, for many blessed years!
Homosexuality with all the alphabetical associations is a very serious disorder akin to drug addiction. We encourage it by pretending that it is acceptable and miss the opportunity to actually help them. They should be encouraged to come to Mass and grow closer to God even while struggling with their issues. But we make a grave mistake thinking they are suddenly cured by baptism or even confession. It is a struggle they may never overcome and we hurt them exposing them to temptation without support. Bishop Hennen has chosen a very difficult mission that can bite him like a snake. May God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost with Mary Mother of God and his personal Guardian Angel support him and protect him in this endeavor.
His association with Courage which tries to do all you suggest is a sign of his sexual morality. Courage representation was lacking in the recent synods, probably at the behest of Jesuitical James Martin who wanted more liberal ministries there.
BULL___T!
Father, your chearleading for the new pope has reached the point of tone deafness if you honestly think that appointing homosexual bishops is "no threat" to sexual morality.
Father Gene Gomulka, a fine military chaplain who was laicized without due process because he knew too much and wasn't hiding what he knew, writes this in his latest substack article at johneighteenthirtyseven:
"Closeted homosexual bishops who were groomed or abused, which affected their sexual orientation during their period of psychosexual development, are less inclined to discipline homosexual clerics reported for abuse because they themselves often engaged in the same behavior, particularly when they were younger. Because I rejected homosexual advances in the seminary and priesthood on the part of bishops, priests, and seminarians, and because I was not “turned” like so many other seminarians and priests, I pity these closeted homosexual bishops and priests whom I know act the way they do because of their own grooming/abuse experiences. While some closeted homosexual clerics who prey on young men and boys may be reported, often only decades after the abuse occurred, others may escape being caught only to be promoted often with the help of a bishop with whom they were sexually involved.
"Catholics who argue that the sexual orientation of the pope, bishops, or priests is not important, fail to understand how a cleric’s orientation may impact his ministry and preaching. Insofar as gays and lesbians believe that “LGBTQ rights and abortion rights are inseparable,” most homosexual bishops and priests are not demonstrably as pro-family and pro-life as heterosexual clergy."
We've got a sex-obsessed perv in charge of the dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith! Now today we learn that Fr. Carlo Capella, a former diplomat for the Holy See to the U.S., not only avoided a five-year prison sentence for posession of child pornography under the protection of the Vatican, but is able to live as a free man in Rome, residing at the San Benedetto residence for nuncios!
I'm sorry Father. You're O.K., but all this gushing about the new pope wearing traditional vestments or murmuring a few lines of Latin seems to indicate a kind of tone-deafness to the reality of the ongoing managed decline of our Church as a bunch of queers take over.
Do you want to know why so few men attend Mass compared to women? Do you want to know why Mass attendance is down? It's simple: Too many of us have a hard case of fag fatigue. Pope Leo is probably a real nice guy, but, given the state the Church is in, a "nice guy" is not the answer to our problems. I'm tired of playing nice. Our souls are at stake.
"As Vicar General of the Diocese of Davenport and rector of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Hennen has helped steer diocesan policy on “sexual and gender minorities,” drafting guidelines that repackage ambiguity in the pastel tones of pastoral accompaniment. What makes this more grotesque is that Hennen was once affiliated with Courage International, the only mainstream Catholic apostolate that dares to call same-sex attracted persons to chastity. That was over a decade ago. Now, he talks of “LGBT+ Catholics” and “transgender persons” with the rhetorical confidence of a James Martin press release."
"The Diocese of Davenport’s 2023 'Guidelines for Pastoral Accompaniment of Sexual and Gender Minorities,' which Hennen helped draft, omit any explicit call to chastity. Instead, they emphasize listening, accommodation, and collaboration with 'healthcare providers': a phrase that in today’s context might as well read 'gender-affirming professionals.' At one point, Hennen even mused aloud whether the Church could make 'appropriate accommodations' that “neither ‘sell out’ on our beliefs nor slam the door” on transgender persons. The illusion of doctrinal fidelity is preserved only by its absence in practice."

Wake up, Father. Wishful thinking doesn't rewrite reality.
I know many Catholics who leave the Church because they are either heterodox left or heterodox right and hate various popes and their leadership. They hate fags, illegal aliens, fat people and different race. People leave for all kinds of reasons. If they don’t see love of God and neighbors that drives the majority away. Kudos to Pope Leo and Bishop Elect Hennen. I don’t see any guile or hate in them.
