It will be affirmed as long as there are enough people in the Vatican willing to say that the answer is "no... for now... until we find a way to 'develop' doctrine to make the answer yes." (I could not put enough quotes around "develop" to express my disdain for recent abuses of the term, so I did not even try)
I do find it intriguing that so many people who are otherwise popesplainers who eagerly glean every golden word from the great oracle once known merely as the Vicar of Christ are finding ways to twist themselves into knots and say that the door to women's ordination to the diaconate is still open.
