HUGE NUMBER AT CATHEDRAL’S SEXAGESIMA EF MASS

Almost 300 communicants, one elderly priest in a Communion marathon back and forth at the Communion rail. Altar boys standing by with defibrillators. I had to fraction the Hosts to have enough.

Bee here:

Wonderful, Fr. McD!!! That is awesome.

I know sometimes people attend the TLM out of curiosity or a desire to see what Mass was like before the changes of Vatican II. However, I would guess the increased attendance for your monthly TLM is more than just that. You may actually be forming a congregation.

Today the Gospel for the TLM was the parable of the sower and the seeds. It seems to me today you were a that parable in action. Congratulations.

And maybe next month Fr. Kavanaugh would be willing to attend to help distribute Communion. :-)

God bless.

But think how long standing communion in the hand with chalice would take? Are skateboards pre-Vatican II? One server could push you one way while the other held the paten, the swap duties to reverse direction.

BTW, Southern Orders will get a hit from AK this month. The local cathedral is run by Dominicans who offer a Latin Mass. I am excited to see it.
