IS POPE FRANCIS PROSELYTIZING ROMAN CATHOLICS TO JOIN A DIFFERENT CHURCH?

proselytize

to try to persuade someone to change their religious or political beliefs or way of living to your own:

He was also remarkable for the proselytizing zeal with which he communicated his religious opinions.

Pope Francis for the past ten years has railed against proselytizing our Catholic Faith to others. Yet, it appears that since Vatican II in-house proselytizing has be the order of the day.

It appears Pope Francis is placing his proselytizing on steroids as he proselytizes Catholics and others to join the different Church he is proposing compared to the one that most Catholics accept and adhere and are members of. It is very peculiar to say the least.

Surely we are in need of the most erudite man on the block...sorry, this blog😉👍 isn't ironic, hey?

If there are proportionate reasons etc and so on to vote for some of the most pro abortion politicians on this planet...perhaps Fr K can explain the proportionate theological grounds to bless sodomy in a Catholic church ..hmm? 😉

Now my lad, that's a real ad hominem unjustified attack 😉...how dare any good Christian allow to play out the logical consequences of another fellow's strongly held proportional belief system, hey? 🥲👍

Daniel,

Yes, allowing law breakers into to the US to suck off taxpayers is a justifiable and “proportionate” reason to kill the unborn in Fr. K world!

Paul,

Be careful what you wish for.

Yes, we ARE being proselytized. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen prophetically warned us in 1947 about Satan's plan for the Church:

"In the midst of all his seeming love for humanity and his glib talk of freedom and equality, he will have one great secret which he will tell to no one; he will not believe in God. Because his religionwill be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect.

"He will set up a counter-Church which will be the ape of the Church because, he the devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the anti-Christ that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ. In desperate need for God, whom he nevertheless refuses to adore, modern man in his loneliness and frustration will hunger more and more for membership in a community that will give him enlargement of purpose, but at the cost of losing himself in some vague collectivity. There will be verified the paradox, that the very objections with which men in the last century rejected the Church will be the reasons why they will now accept the counter-Church."

Indeed, that ape is taking shape before our eyes.

Paul - I have left the doom-saying, hand-wringing, and general silliness regarding the Synod to others.

Fr K Orwell has the Democratic Party's "moral" agenda to advance! No time for Church things

Rather patronising and arrogant Father Michael Kay....hey?
😅😂...

Wouldn't U say?

For over 10 years in these Rooms..this blog, blog, sorry...which U seem to feel the need to obsessively monitor and each lunar month for over 10 years U have averaged out about 3,000 to 4,000 words ..

Yet, for some strange disproportionate reason, at this particular junction of time, all U can patronising offer us is to describe the chatter of your intellectual inferiors as "general silliness* 🥲😄😅?

So to sort of repeat my question in a proportionally different way 🥲 - is that the REAL reason things have gone VERY quiet on the Kavanagh Front ? 😅

Daniel - I have not followed the news on the synod as obsessively as our genial blog host, so I'm just not in a position to make informed comments thereupon. I'm not like several of the regulars here who, knowing little or nothing about some topic, nevertheless make absurd and unfounded comments that usually amount to little more than kvetching and moaning.

General silliness is what I find in many of the comments on the synod. Such silliness includes predictions on what is going to come of it, what this or that person is REALLY up to, what a terrible, awful, person (FILL IN THE NAME) is, what "demonic" forces must be behind the whole affair, and how the only people involved in the local synodal gatherings have been aged hippies trying to relive the 70's, nuns in polyester slacks, or infiltrators from the nearest Masonic Lodge.

The Kavanaugh Front isn't quiet. As I said, on THIS topic I leave the bellyaching to those who are in need of whining. That's the REAL reason.

Fr. Allan J. McDonald said...

Fragments, thanks for venting your whine. I am sure you feel better now. Sheesh…

Let me whine about spellcheck’s new name for you, but maybe it knows something? Not fragments but FRMJK.

Fr K is still figuring out how he can advance the interests of the Party of Intrinsic Evil or maybe planning his move to the “Sanctuary” City of New York where hypocritical virtue signalling is an art form.

TJM - Actually, I am working on the instrumenum laboris for the next Freundeskreis of the St. Gallen Mafia. We're meeting in January at Sans Souci, the "Millionaire's Club," on Jekyll Island, Georgia. I serve as Executive Director for that august committee, so there's much to be done, including designing the menus for the sumptuous meals we will be sharing.

Do you think they wold prefer scallops or calamari as an appetizer for the Friday Night dinner? And would you think that serving Henri Bonneau Chateauneuf-du-Pape Reserve des Celestins, Rhone, France, is a little presumptuous?

TJM said...

What’s a “wold?” Your attachment to the St. Gallen Mafia fits right in with your political orientation: both organizations are designed to destroy goodness and decencey! Bon appetit!

Fr. Michael J. Kavanaugh said...

TJM - What's "decencey"?

TJM said...

Something someone who votes for abortion as “healthcare” would not understand or “wold” they?

Fr. Michael J. Kavanaugh said...

TJM. Hence, as someone who has never voted "for" abortion as Healthcare, I understand.

Now, as someone who, like yourself, votes for the sexual abuse and harassment of women, well, Houston, there maybe a problem.
