What truly sickens is that these thoroughly benighted people actually believe this stuff and groom others to likewise believe it.

What perplexes me is that some will react similarly - this is a sound byte marathon put forth by those who seemingly are incapable of governing this mystical body yet are worried about the Church's reaction to its environment from the perspective of synodality.
My favorite sound byte: "We learned that the youngest churches in our region have lessons to teach the more established churches about synodality and about maintaining the freshness of the encounter of the Gospel with local cultures and societies." Evidently, the rest of us just need to get with the times as its all about being "fresh".
Then, there are others who embrace it wholeheartedly some with the requisite 3 yards of quotations.
Last, we have the "cultural" Catholics who likely couldn't care less about any of it except to the extent it effects them as part of a progressive electorate.
Increasingly, my feeling is that synodality will be a lot of talk resulting in a lot of documents that will do little to advance the actual mission of the Church, the salvation of souls. I say this despite the engagement of the Eastern Churches in what's been to me a poorly constructed and orchestrated process. Part of me thinks its really just a ruse to achieve other social and political aims. It also makes me wonder how we, the actual membership and those who claim "cultural membership" in aggregrate "the Church" are so painfully misaligned?
I see our afternoon therapy session has started
Am I the only one who feels queasy looking at these boomers sitting in a circle, holding hands, and dressed like Moonies? Where do people find the time to act like ninnies? They should be weekend warrioring their homes, washing, cleaning, shopping and paying their taxes.
