BISHOP STEPEHN PARKES VISITED SAINT ANNE CHURCH IN RICHMOND HILL THIS PAST SUNDAY

It was a wonderful visit. He celebrated our 10:30 AM Mass which had the most people at it since the reopening during the pandemic. He also visited both sessions of our CCD program. Then His Excellency came to our rectory for a wonderful Sunday dinner.

I am looking forward to our new bishop's leadership.

His aunt and uncle are members in my parish here in Greensboro. As you can imagine, they are thrilled beyond words.

Did you make Linguini and clams for dinner? 😊

Yes, what was for dinner?!? Italian I would assume? And in the second comment, is that Greensboro, North Carolina? Or Greensboro, Georgia? Or even Greensboro, Alabama?!?

No , not an Italian meal as I has two ladies on our staff prepare the lunch at the rectory (which is 8 miles away from the church!). His Excellency asked for a light lunch, so it was a Caesar salad, baked chicken breasts with a delicious sour cream sauce, string beans and fruit for desert with whipped cream from a can! So good.
We found out during the homily that he likes chocolate chip cookies. Thus Fr. Robert purchased them on the way to the rectory at Publix which is five miles away from the rectory. i live in the boonies on the edge of the marsh at land’s end.

"...string beans and fruit for desert...".

Yuk.

Or, is there a comma missing in that phrase?

i know it sounds yucky, but you must try it; it is all the rage in episcopal households just make sure the string beans are on the bottom and fruit and whip cream, from a can, both, fruit and whip cream from a can, along with string beans of course. simply marvelous and so delicious.

Are you truly serious? Or should I be looking for a wink wink with this one.
