Despite the obvious truth found within your statement, identity politics will not result in Bishop Pete being pleased! This type of dynamism would be written off as ill-informed. Additionally, I suspect that Bishop Pete and those who subscribe to that view-point would be angered in ways that even they cannot explain. It's the anger that perplexes me the most. Perhaps it's driven by pride or, self-centeredness. Stay the course, Father. I'm convinced that out of the rubble of Notre Dame, this is the future.
