Noble simplicity in a very charming setting - all on the same side of the altar with a priest of God (Ad Orientem frees us from worrying about personalities and unnecessary interaction) leading / interceding. To me, the ordering just makes perfect sense, elevates the liturgy and reintroduces verticality.
It also frees us odd sanctuary arrangements, that silly three candles off to the side thing and the unnecessary piling of things in front of the altar so that the priest cannot stand there etc.
