FIRECRACKERS! ANOTHER BOLD BISHOP SPEAKS THE TRUTH!

I copy this from Fr. Z's blog:

In his address, Archbishop Sample speaks ve-ry de-lib-er-ate-ly since he is speaking from a text which sounds, given the audio, as if it was being simultaneously translated.  So, I will provide the video from YouTube as well as the audio accelerated 2x to make it a little shorter and easier for English speakers to listen to.
The faster audio, 2x – twice as fast – as the video.  Remember, the Archbishop was speaking deliberately slowly to the audience in Germany.

Archbishop Sample is top notch, ergo, "Father" Ruff will never mention him.

What a difference to hear a bishop actually look, act, sound and teach like a Catholic bishop. What a difference between Archbishop Sample and Dolan, or Cupich or O'Malley or Francis. I'll take silver linings whenever I can get them in the midst of this storm.

It is nice that he spells out this position so well. But I don't think any of the bishops who do not already agree will change. The main reason is that the chance of such a man becoming Archbishop of Chicago, LA, or New York is zero.

rcg,

that could change if a man like Cardinal Sarah becomes Pope.

TJM, Could be lots of retirements. Heh, heh.

Off topic, but this will depress the fake catholics who post here:

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The State Department said on Monday it was ending U.S. funding for the United Nations Population Fund, the international body's agency focused on family planning as well as maternal and child health in more than 150 countries.

In a letter to U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker, the State Department said it was dropping the funding because the U.N. Population Fund (UNFPA) "supports, or participates in the management of, a program of coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization."

President Trump pursues a Catholic agenda while it appears Pope Francis prefers Obama the Magnificent's anti-Catholic agenda!

Saying "President Trump pursues a Catholic agenda" is preposterous.

Start with five children from three marriages. How does his lifestyle pursue a Catholic agenda? It doesn't. His contempt for the sanctity of marriage, his disregard for the virtue of maintaining a sacred commitment, makes his choices antithetical to anything Catholic.

Continue with his vulgar attitude toward women, evidenced by his vile and lewd comments about the woman (b****) - the MARRIED woman - he wanted to assault . . . No Catholic agenda in sight.

Trump has insulted Pope Francis as being "disgraceful" and a "political pawn." This is not the behavior of someone who pursues a Catholic agenda.

VEEP Pence, when Governor of Indiana, worked to force the Catholic Church to stop resettling Syrian refugees in that state. This is not the action of an administration that pursues a Catholic agenda.

Trump's support for the repeal of Obamacare was opposed by the USCCB. Not a Catholic agenda move.

The list goes on and on.

No, President Trump is not pursuing a Catholic agenda.

I have posted this before
Noah was a drunk in the end
Moses was prevented from entering the promised land
Peter denied
Thomas doubted
Paul persecuted
Augustine philandered
Am I equating Trump or Pence with these, no
All I am saying is that God tends to work through flawed people
including you and me

To put another way: it would be a shame to have somebody that bad out do me in good works. It would also be stupid of me to jeopardize the outcome of an important task because I turned down help from someone I don't like.

Northern Nubian:

God can certainly work through flawed people, Deo Gratias.

Peter denied, but did not suggest he would sexually assault women.

Thomas doubted, but did not turn away refugees.

But these things have little or nothing to do with President Trump's anti-Catholic, anti-marriage, anti-woman words and behavior.

Augustine philandered, but, by grace, gave up his philandering and lived a life in conformity with the Gospel.
