SHOULD JESUS CHRIST RESIGN AS THE SAVIOR? SHOULD GOD RESIGN, WOULD THE MASS MEDIA BE A BETTER GOD? GIVE US THE MASS MEDIA! CRUCIFY THE TRUE GOD!

BREAKING NEWS, 2000 YEARS AGO, JESUS CHRIST KNEW WHAT THIS MONSTER WOULD DO AND DIED FOR HIS SINS ANYWAY TO REDEEM HIM! JESUS MUST RESIGN OR COME CLEAN ABOUT OTHERS HE DIED FOR. THE VICTIMS OF THIS MAN WANT JUSTICE! THE VICTIMS WANT JESUS TO RESIGN, MORE AT 11:00 PM!"

THE WORLD'S MEDIA HAVE HIM AS THEIR TARGET, HE STANDS FOR EVERYTHING THEY OPPOSE, HE'S PRO-LIFE, FORGIVING, FOR THE SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE, AND THE DIGNITY OF ALL PEOPLE EVEN THOSE WHO COMMIT MONSTROUS ACTS! WILL CATHOLICS STAND UP FOR THIS MAN OR CAVE INTO GODLESS SECULARISM AND THE POLITICIZATION OF THE CHURCH?

THE DEMONIZING OF POPE BENEDICT XVI BY THE WORLD'S MEDIA, ARE THEY SETTING HIM UP FOR MARTYRDOM?

MARTYRDOM OF POPE SAINT PETER AT THE HANDS OF SECULAR LEADERS

Pope Benedict burned in effigy

Was all this just a show to hide the secret sins of people under Jesus Blood? More evidence of a cover-up!

Didn't God create this creature called Satan? Should God resign?

Wasn't Jesus tempted by Satan, is that why Jesus died for child molesters?

IS THIS THE KIND OF SAVIOR WE WANT, SOMEONE WHO FORGIVES CHILD MOLESTERS? SOMEONE WHO IS WILLING TO DIE FOR THEM? NEW YORK TIMES, DO YOUR BEST TO TAKE HIM DOWN!

Jesus Christ prevented the woman caught in adultery from receiving the legal sentence of death for committing the sin and crime of adultery. Jesus also knew what sins the men accusers had committed, but said nothing about them.

When Jesus died on the cross,he died for child molesters, the now long dead priest that the New York Times reports that Pope Benedict allowed to die as a priest rather than put him through a long canonical process to "defrock" him. In dying for this monstrous priest, did Jesus not care about the victims?

Jesus Christ also died for all the bishops, cardinals, priests, who covered up the scandal of priestly sex abuse. Should Jesus be removed from the Cross?

Jesus Christ also died for all those who have had abortions, their victims now silenced and not able to tell their horror stories.

Jesus Christ died for everyone in the secular press who are now trying to undermine the Catholic Church and her leaders with stories going back 40 and 50 years ago.

Jesus Christ died for those in the media who think it is perfectly fine that there have been over 50 million abortions in this country. They do not investigate those who promote such an outrage, but rather praise them. They even praise those who suggest that partial birth abortion on a full term baby is justified.

Jesus Christ died for HYPOCRITES! Take Him down from the Cross and give us a charter on who should be selected as the Savior!

JESUS DIED FOR THOSE WHO VICTIMIZED THIS CHILD, THE U.S. SUPREME COURT AND ALL THOSE WHO ARE PRO CHOICE, INCLUDING THOSE IN THE SECULAR PRESS NOW ACCUSING POPE BENEDICT OF INDIFFERENCE TO THE VICTIMS OF SEX ABUSE AND GIVING MONSTER PRIESTS A PASS!

JESUS DIED FOR THOSE WHO DID THIS!

CHRIST DIED FOR THE PERSONS WHO DID THIS! IF THERE HAD ONLY BEEN A NEW YORK TIMES DURING JESUS PUBLIC MINISTRY TO UNCOVER THE DARKNESS OF A MAN WHO WOULD DIE FOR PEOPLE WHO DID THIS!

SHAME ON THE NEW YORK TIMES! SHAME ON THE SECULAR PRESS! SHAME ON THOSE CATHOLICS WHO DON'T GET WHAT JESUS DID! SHAME ON THE WORLD THAT PREFERS SECULARISM TO SALVATION AND FORGIVENESS!

It is interesting to me, as a criminal defense lawyer, that the media is quick to say that such and such priest molested such and such number of victims when there have not always been criminal convictions that involved some independent fact-finder deliberating on the evidence in an objective manner. This is particularly interesting given that many of these so-called instances of abuse occurred decades ago and the "victims" are only now coming forward. Obviously, the delay doesn't disprove their allegations, but their statements are not conclusive in themselves.

Why are priests not entitled to a presumption of innocence?

Marc, so many people have come forward accusing dead priests and the simple accusation is grounds enough for the presumption of guilt, even in the Church. Church leaders in this country and elsewhere are so threatened by the media's scrutiny, that they have thrown out justice with with bathwater. How does a priest after 50 years of service defend himself from an accusation 50 years ago, but not since? He can't, but he is presumed guilty until proven innocent. There is a witch hunt going on and it is flamed by the media and freaked out bishops. It seems to me that there is a good reason for the statue of limitations. Fr. McDonald

Or perhaps especially in the Church. When the bishops adopted their Dallas policy, I recall someone explaining that the best way to avoid being thrown under the bus may be to throw someone else first.

Actually, in my personal experience, the only time I seen this principle applied to an apparently innocent priest was when he was also suspected of being a bit too traditional.

A comment here on the prevalence of the media with our ...children! The leading edge of Developmental Science has been confounded by efforts to bring wholesomeness to our communities and our child rearing in the public domain. As such, in 2005 they accumulated significant data characterized by high reliability and validity. The data is generalized nationally. The Kaiser Family Foundation responded with funding for the following study. It is prospective to the current attack on the Church by the media. It is the second front_our catholic children_. The findings to wit:

“ To help spur a national dialogue—involving policymakers, parents, consumer groups, media companies, educators, marketers, public health organizations, and young people themselves—there needs to be publicly available, reliable, and objective data documenting the patterns and trends of media use among young people.”

“This report attempts to provide those data. It is based on a large (2,032) national sample of 3rd- to 12thgraders (8–18 years old). Young people today live media saturated lives. Spending and average of nearly 6 ½ hours a day (6:21) with media. Across the seven days of the week, that amount is the equivalent of a full-time job, with a few extra hours thrown in for overtime (441/2 hours a week). Indeed, given that about a quarter (26%) of the time young people are using media, they’re using more than one medium at a time (reading and listening to music, for example), they are actually exposed to the equivalent of 81/2 hours a day (8:33) of media content, even though they pack that into less than 61/2 hours of time.”

Remember this is the same media that is recognized as an above average threat to the doors of our Catholicity (George).

In January 2010 the study is reporting again with new findings:

“Increase in media use among young people. Five years ago, we reported that young people spent an average of nearly 6½ hours (6:21) a day with media—and managed to pack more than 8½ hours (8:33) worth of media content into that time by multitasking. At that point it seemed that young people’s lives were filled to the bursting point with media. Today, however, those levels of use have been shattered. Over the past five years, young people have increased the amount of time they spend consuming media by an hour and seventeen minutes daily, from 6:21 to 7:38—almost the amount of time most adults spend at work each day, except that young people use media seven days a week instead of five. Moreover, given the amount of time they spend using more than one medium at a time, today’s youth pack a total of 10 hours and 45 minutes worth of media content into those daily 7½ hours—an increase of almost 2¼ hours of media exposure per day over the past five years.” Free use copyright under Title 17 of the United States Code, Chapter1.

I say, be spurred and ambitious in dialogue concerning this egregious assault on our youth and our Church; after all, in how many years will this same generation “M” be the Church, no?

It’s not about just turning off the TV! TV is passé! It is cell phones, music players, “crackberry’s”, video games, computers, and TV.
