AS EVERYONE KNOWS, I LOVE THE MODERN MASS CELEBRATED IN CONTINUITY WITH THE ANCIENT MASS…

Nice vestments, but that's about it. Ad orientem? Latin? Communion by kneeling and on the tongue

Was watching the Mass from St Peter's Square in Rome and noted a very strange altar configuration; two, not three candles severely angled back and no crucifix in the middle. Rather, it was to the right side as you face the altar. Not sure what the Pope is doing here.

That arrangement was common under St. Pope John Paul II. It is an unfortunate return. I am hoping it is the papal MC who is initiating this and not the pope. The Mc keeps changing the altar arrangement. If you rewatch the video, you will notice the pope seems surprised at the arrangement when he incenses the altar at the beginning of Mass and seems to comment on it.

Father McDonald,

No response to me? I am hurt because you always respond to fake Catholics like K and MT Suit

Father McDonald, I have long appreciated, as well as have been blessed, by the holy, sober, uplifting manner in which you have offered Holy Mass.

Father, in particular, you are an outstanding, all-time great homilist.

As always, you are God's holy priest.

Pax.

My second respectful request in question:

Please dear Holy Father, chant the Preface during Mass. His Holiness failed today to have chanted the Dialogue/Preface. I hope that somebody will convince him to do so.

Nevertheless, today's indoor Mass from Rome was beautiful.

Pax.
