THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE “DOCTRINE” OF BLESSING SINFUL SEXUAL UNIONS—AND IT IS HAPPENING QUCKLY THANKS TO POPE FRANCIS

The are images  not a videos:

When I was ordained in 1980, girls were not allowed to be altar boys, I mean, servers. But that did not stop many parishes in the USA from having them. Bishop Lessard of the Diocese of Savannah, knew that many of his parishes had them, including my first parish as “associate pastor” in Albany, Georgia.

Thus he came up with a diocesan policy that allowed girls to serve as candle and cross bearers, and vested in different liturgical garments than the boys were. Only altar boys could minister directly to the priest by holding the Roman Missal, then called the Sacramentary” and handing the water and wine to him and also washing his hands. Only boys could help with the incense.

That did nothing to stop the process of doctrinal development that has led to the full inclusion of girls as altar boys, I mean, servers. And in fact, Pope Francis has now opened the formal ministries of reader and acolyte to women, once only for men studying for the priesthood. I wonder where that will lead? Of course to women deacons, then eventually priests and bishops and one day as pope.

To see how quickly a policy can develop, all you have to do is to go to the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Saint Vincent de Paul’s Church to see a priest bless the union of two Lesbians, one of whom is a Methodist Minister,  in his Church and near the altar.

It is clearly a blessing of their union as spouses. It isn’t spontaneous but planned.

This is the first stage of the development of doctrine that Pope Francis intends for Feducia Supplicans. Pope Francis knows what he is doing and how to accomplish the development of doctrine.

Stay tuned.

It is all a fait accompli and the slow/not so slow drift we are on, led by this pope, seems unstoppable. That is unless we have a hard crack back after the next conclave. I highly doubt it.

Of course, no corrective action will be taken. That level of discipline is reserved for those who practice the faith as it has been done for the past 1500+ years.

Father, I cannot add anything as drift has been ongoing overtly since Vatican II passed gas as the "Spirit of Vatican II" where flatulance was mistaken for the Holy Ghost.

I do not see much of a fix past giving the boot to rebels, whether parish, priest, or bishop, and settling for a smaller authentic and orthodox Church, but we all know how likely THAT is. THAT would take courageous leaders with iron wills, rather than the smarmy posturing wannabe-like-JEEZus leaders we mostly have today.

Time for another crackdown on traditionalists. They are clearly the villain here.

Mark, mark Thomas, pick up the red phone. excuse needed
BTW, we warned you. Slippery slopes are fun!!
I pity the next guy, either he gets to watch what is left of the church go down the tubes or he is going to have to have a spine of titanium.

Egyptian, no excuse required for inaction from Holy Pope Francis or his Holy Bishop Cupich, because, well, they are Holy and they can do no wrong, even when they do nothing. Everything they do is Holy and Inspired By The Holy Spirit TM, even their choice between Charmin, Northern or Scott.

I recall back when looking for a version of Christianity which made sense, that is, the True version of Christianity, if it existed at all, as the protestant fundamentalist version I was raised in certainly was not it, even we teenagers could poke holes in it which the adults could not answer.

So, with great interest I looked into Catholicism, going to a priest, and asking for reading material. He enthusiastically gifted me with a book infused with The Spirit Of Vatican II TM, which I devoured, its title was "Christ Among Us".

It made perfect sense for about the first half, and I thought I'd found the true Christianity for which I had been looking. But then, I got to the second half of the book which essentially began waffling and disavowing and contradicting the first half and and it started reading just as what I had already discounted as contradictory in my own upbringing, and endorsing very radical for the times views on sexuality, birth control, etc, and I was thinking to myself, "I sure can see why so many protestants hate Catholic teachings," and I turned away from an obviously false version of Christianity which conflicted with scripture and its own earlier teachings.

It was another 10yrs later before I found out what the REAL Catholic Church taught and reconciled to the Church.

And here I am 30+yrs later and the Christ Among Us zombie crew have crawled moldering out of graves and are running the Church.

I never would have reconciled to the Church had they pulled that stunt back then, and I have no doubt many seekers today are doing exactly that.

What is propelling change are videos like the one of the two women recommitting to each other that threaten - well - absolutely nothing or no one.

Bob said...

John, they threaten only 2000yrs of constant teaching, which if teaching has been wrong all that time until now, then makes the Church nothing but a farce not worthy of belief at all...

And does no favor to the idea of priests, if they can bless people actively engaged in serious mortal sin, then that also makes priests essentially useless past being MCs at whatever is fashionable....what next, blessings before abortions? Blessings before murder(same thing)? Genocide? Orgies?

Father, SOMEbody is in damage control at that Vincentian parish where the offense happened, whether the Vincentians or maybe Cupich and the archdiocese or both. The priest has now come out with a statement, published by the Vincentian chapter there who administers the parish, where he apologized for exceeding norms.
