POPE FRANCIS HEALTH CONTINUES ITS STEADY DECLINE. PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM, FOR THE CHURCH, FOR THE CARDINALS WHO WILL ELECT THE NEW POPE AND FOR THE FUTURE NEW POPE ALREADY KNOWN TO GOD…

The number of the faithful who gather for Pope Francis’ outdoor liturgies continues its dramatic decline. Todas, todas, todas, seems to be one of the many new cliches Pope Francis uses in his colorful language but packs no punch in reality…

FROM CRUX:

RASPY-VOICED POPE SKIPS HOMILY FOR PALM SUNDAY, BUT MANAGES THE ANGELUS

ROME – Speaking aloud briefly and in a raspy voice, and skipping his prepared homily altogether, a clearly fatigued Pope Francis presided over the traditional Palm Sunday Mass today, a liturgy that opens the holiest period on the annual Christian calendar.

Later, the pontiff managed to deliver his traditional Angelus message at the conclusion of the Mass in his own voice, but appeared at times to be struggling to catch his breath.

The 87-year-old pontiff has been struggling for weeks from difficulties in breathing and speaking, related to what the Vatican has described variously as colds, the flu, and bronchitis, and has often asked aides to read his prepared texts aloud at various public events.

During the Palm Sunday Mass, Francis delivered prayers but, at the conclusion of the lengthy Gospel reading, it was announced that he had decided not to deliver his homily, and the liturgy proceeded directly to the Profession of Faith. It was believed to the first time, at least in recent memory, that no homily was delivered during a papal Palm Sunday Mass…

I always benefit from videos of His Holiness interacting with his spiritual children in peaceful, loving, and enthusiastic fashion. I am uplifted in my heart and mind as I witness the love and enthusiasm that flows to Pope Francis.

In turn, Pope Francis broadcasts love and enthusiasm to his spiritual children.

Pope Francis, alongside his spiritual children (perhaps non-Catholics as well), worship God.

Pope Francis, and his spiritual children (perhaps non-Catholics as well), interact with each other in peaceful, loving, enthusiastic fashion. That is a wonderful, beautiful, uplifting sight!

@TJM You’ve expressed exactly what I was thinking. The fellow’s comments are increasingly cringeworthy: papolatry at its very worst and most creepy.

Sarto2012,

Agree - creepy and sick. He needs mental health therapy

Our Vatican II Era Popes have made it clear that the modern Papacy demands that a Pope must travel throughout the world. Pope Benedict XVI, for example, insisted upon that.

The video this past Palm Sunday of Pope Francis having moved, via the Popemobile, among thousands of his loving, enthusiastic, spiritual children has spoken to the importance of worldwide Papal travel.

That is, worldwide Papal travel each year brings the Pope into contact, beyond Saint Peter's Square, with thousands upon thousands of his spiritual children.

During Apostolic Visits, reports have abounded for decades as to how a Pope's presence in this or that city/country has strengthened the faith of his spiritual children. I experienced that the time I was blessed to have been in Pope Saint John Paul II's presence.

I am uplifted viewing video of my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ radiating peace, and love, as they experience the Holy Father's immediate presence. But I believe that the experience of the Vicar of Christ's immediate presence instills within his spiritual children an even greater feeling of wonder and joy.

The peace, love, and enthusiasm that Pope Francis receives when amongst his spiritual children is beautiful, wonderful, and uplifting to behold.

Pax.

LOL - Josef Goebbels would definitely have hired Mark Thomas - a consummate propagandist and fiction writer

@TJM. Yes, he has even commented on events in Scotland where I am. This is the worst kind of blind, unthinking Catholicism. Bergoglio-Zanchetta-Rupnik-Pachamama is pope, but a bad pope. MT is a fanboy for the destruction of the Catholic church.

Sarto2012,

MT is either braindead or a Communist plant

sarto2012 said...

@TJM Yes. Agreed. Communist. Or simple-minded. Take your pick.
