BOMBSHELL—POPE FRANCIS CONDEMNS GENDER IDEOLOGY! DUH!

This report is from Vatican News. For Pope Francis to reiterate traditional teaching on gender ideology and the Biblical anthropology of humanity made in the image and likeness of God, male and female did he create them, to be considered a bombshell coming from this pope, reiterates what Demos II has said about what the new pope must do, clean up ambiguity and make clear Jesus Christ! When this pope is clear about Church doctrine, it is seen as a bombshell. Think about that!

Pope Francis gender ideology is the ugliest danger of our time

Bombshell? Oh please.

OF COURSE he condemns gender ideology. Even Fiducia Supplicans pays lip service to REMINDING us that homosexual unions are wrong. Big nothingburger.

After 11 years of these clown show, haven't we figure out yet that this pope will ALWAYS play lip service to what the Church teaches, then find some rhetorical way to undercut Church teaching later, condemn Traditionalists--no, wait, DEMONIZE Traditionalists, and allow (and applaud) everyone who takes these permissions further than they were purportedly intended to go. It's incrementalism. Francis' game plan is that those who will follow him will achieve his material goals. He's just laying the foundation (while he demolishes the old foundation that served us for 2000 years).

Bombshell! Yeah. Sure.

Jerome,

Right on the money. It's the Peronist way--Juan Peron met communists one day and told them, "You're right". He met fascists the next day and told them the same thing. His nephew, whom he was mentoring in politics, told him he had contradicted himself, to which Peron said, "You're also right."

Pope Francis' condemnation of gender theory is not remotely a "bombshell."

Edward Feser, for example, has, for years, spewed his share of venom at Pope Francis.

Nevertheless, in regard to Pope Francis' condemnation of gender theory, even Edward Feser was compelled today to have declared:

"It would be unjust of Pope Francis’s critics not to acknowledge that he does teach unpopular traditional truths, and not infrequently."

=====

As always, Pope Francis' critics would do well to recall the following: In regard to Pope Francis, Cardinal Pell (requiescat in pace) declared:

"He’s a completely faithful exponent of Christ’s teaching and the Church’s tradition."

Pax.

MT,

You’re not remotely analytical but you are comical

What is actually meant is, “Francis condemns gender ideology today”. As for tomorrow? Well ….

Mark Thomas said...

As Crux reported yesterday, "Francis has repeatedly condemned gender theory throughout his nearly 11-year reign, calling it at various junctures “ideological colonization,” a “mistake in the human mind,” an expression of “frustration and resignation,” a “war on marriage,” and “nefarious.”

"In his traditional New Year’s speech to the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy See, which this year took place Jan. 8, the pope again condemned gender theory, calling it an “extremely dangerous” phenomenon that threatens genuine human rights."

========

To who wish to pretend that Pope Francis' condemnation of gender theory is just a one-time passing fad with His Holiness:

As early as nine years ago, February 2015 A.D., Pope Francis declared:

-- Pope Francis Compares Transgender People To Nuclear Weapons

Pope Francis:

"Let's think of the nuclear arms, of the possibility to annihilate in a few instants a very high number of human beings. Let's think also of genetic manipulation, of the manipulation of life, or of the gender theory, that does not recognize the order of creation."

"With this attitude, man commits a new sin, that against God the Creator. The true custody of creation does not have anything to do with the ideologies that consider man like an accident, like a problem to eliminate."

Pax.

MT, please comment on this from a few months ago.:

Rome Newsroom, Nov 8, 2023 / 14:25 pm

The Vatican’s doctrine office has said an adult who identifies as transgender can receive the sacrament of baptism under the same conditions as any adult, as long as there is no risk of causing scandal or confusion to other Catholics.

The Vatican also said that children or adolescents experiencing transgender identity issues may also receive baptism “if well prepared and willing.”

The document answering these and other sacrament-based questions for those who identify as transgender and people in same-sex relationships was generated in response to questions posed to the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) in July by Bishop Giuseppe (José) Negri of Santo Amaro in Brazil. The guidance comes amid ongoing discussions within the Catholic Church about pastoral care for the LGBTQ community in light of Francis’ focus on accompaniment and synodality.

The dicastery’s response is dated Oct. 31 and signed by DDF Prefect Cardinal Victor Fernández and Pope Francis. It is available on the Vatican website in Italian.

Father McDonald,

Surely you jest. MT to comment? He will just post a bunch of non sequiturs in an attempt to disguise the fact that he cannot engage in reasoned discourse. I am going to write the Vatican to propose you for sainthood!

I don't know if I've ever seen MT (or his best friend) directly answer a question. It's misdirect-distract-insult, in no particular order. Just like the Jesuit-in-chief! Actually getting pinned down to a position formed through reflection and considered thought simply wouldn't do when there are worn-out truisms from the 1970s to cling to and block-quotes to make.

Father, thank you for the opportunity to discuss this matter with you.

The note in question is a beautiful, orthodox document that promotes Pope Francis' holy, unrelenting desire, to lead people into the light of Jesus Christ. That is the unrelenting desire of Holy Mother Church.

The document seeks to lead the sinner to God's grace while safeguarding the Sacrament of Baptism. The note also desires to protect the Faithful from scandal.

Pax.

MT,

Go to confession! You did not answer Father McDonald’s comment. You are a demonic liar, ergo a Democrat. Enjoy Hell!

TJM,

Look, I find MT as annoying as anyone. I am embarrassed FOR him, since he seems incapable of feeling embarrassment. He's like a case of Herpes that you thought went away (not that I would actually know what that was like). I get it. He's redefined flakiness.

But must we allow our dislike of his antics to turn into some sort of personal animus that makes us less decent? "Enjoy Hell"? Seriously?

Need I remind you that such determinations are God's call? I am very uncomfortable when people I otherwise agree with start publicly proclaiming damnation upon someone.

Nothing we say or do is going to change this guy. We didn't create the problem and we can't fix it either. The one thing we can all work harder on is to avoid enabling him.

I don't condemn you for your anger--I feel it sometimes too, especially when he express naive and absurd opinions with sanctimonious certitude. Again, we didn't create it and we can't fix it.

Let go. Just let go. He's not worth it.
