Just saw this on Facebook:
History was made Sunday at Historic Saint Paul Catholic Church. This same-sex couple, civilly married for 22 years, asked for a blessing which Fr Richard freely offered according to the guidelines in Fiducia Supplicans.
My comment: These photos, in churches, with the priest vested in stole or more, are all over the internet. Many have stated emphatically that SUMMORUM PONTIFICUM was abused by traditionalist and thus Pope Francis was right to cancel it. Pope Francis, by the same logic, must cancel FS!

Father McDonald said..."Many have stated emphatically that SUMMORUM PONTIFICUM was abused by traditionalist and thus Pope Francis was right to cancel it. Pope Francis, by the same logic, must cancel FS!"
Conversely, Father McDonald, you have insisted that while there were "traditionalists" who had abused Summorum Pontificum, that is was cruel and unnecessary for Pope Francis to have simply "reordered" (Pope Francis' word) — "cancelled" is your word — Summorum Pontificum.
Therefore, Father McDonald, based upon the above, you would belong to the school of thought that would oppose the cancellation of Fiducia Supplicans.
Pax.

MT you are the one being duplicitous. You like to go backward in time to cite various prelates. Three years ago Pope Francis forbade blessings for couples in immoral unions and living in sin when Cardinal Ladaria was prefect of the DDF. Now under Fernandez, Pope Francis canceled himself from three years ago and flip flops to say yes couples living in sin can be blessed. But then Fernandez flip flops with his clarifications to say couple are blessed individually. The document is a junk document. The one the pope issued under Ladaria isn’t. I accept what Francis said under Ladaria.
Lovely picture of spontaneity, without liturgical vesture and not before an Altar.
The apparent age difference between these two has me wondering how old the younger one was when this sexual relationship began (more than 22 years ago). Creepy.
As with so many LGBTQ++++ people, gender is clearly obfuscated but I do think tat it is two women. Don’t know the age differential 22 years ago, but one wonders…
How was Summorum Pontificum abused?
