That was my impression, too ByzRus. I have attended Mass in many countries and it is not uncommon to see extravagant colours and arrangements. It is what they have, as you say. I sorta grows on you after a while. I like restraint, but there are some Eastern and Spanish churches that can be absolutely disorienting with their details.

Can't remember where this is, Philippines.
If this is what they have to work with, so be it.
That said, I don't care for it.
I don't want to really rip on this as it just seems they probably aren't lush with funds.
