Is it against Catholic teaching or against Catholic to hope if not actually pray for a papacy to end?

I ask for prayers for the soul of my grandfather Bede Carnot who fought at both Gallipoli and the Western Front and was awarded a Military Medal and Military Medal with bar for bravery in battles at both Gallipoli and the Western Front in the so called War to end wars.
