Almost everyone in Ukraine is miffed by Pope Francis and what seems to be his affinity for various aspects of communism and dictatorships. Dictators seems to be ignored compared to duly elected officials. The leaders of China and Russia seem to get a pass and are praised while duly elected leaders are criticized.
What is happening in Nicaragua with very little said by Pope Francis is stunning for those who live in democratic countries.
Pope Francis is doing the same thing with Catholics, criticizing and gaslighting Catholics who want to be faithful to the Deposit of Faith, permissions Pope Benedict XVI gave them only to be mocked and ignored by Pope Francis who prefers those who are heterodox, especially in the areas of sexual morality and the anthropology of the Sacraments.

The advisor also suggested that the pope’s line on the war may be influenced by Russian investments in the Vatican bank.
Pope Francis “unknowingly is cancelling the reputation of the Holy See,” said Mykhailo Podolyak in an interview with Ukraine’s Channel 24 news service on Friday.
“It doesn’t make sense to speak of a mediator called the pope if he assumes a pro-Russian position, which is evident to everyone,” Podolyak said. “It wasn’t the first time, but before it happened in a somewhat confused way and we pretended not to see.”
Podolyak, a senior advisor to the Office of the President in Ukraine, spoke in the wake of a controversy that erupted in late August after Pope Francis praised the legacy of “Great Mother Russia” in a video conference with Russian Catholic youth gathered in St. Petersburg.
Francis attempted to smooth things over in comments to reporters aboard the papal plane after his recent visit to Mongolia, insisting that he wasn’t praising Russian imperialism but rather its culture. Podolyak, however, clearly wasn’t persuaded.
“Today it’s clear he has a pro-Russian position, and this reflects in an extremely negative way on the war,” Podolyak said. “If a person clearly promotes the right of Russia to kill the citizens of another country on another sovereign territory, he’s promoting the war. We have to call things by name.”
“The Vatican can’t have any role of mediation: It would deceive Ukraine, or justice,” Podolyak said.
The advisor to Zelensky also implied that financial considerations may play a role in the pope’s messaging on the war.
“We have to look at the investments that Russia is making in the Vatican bank,” he said. “Why does a country called the Vatican take such a strange position? We have to analyze this in a more detailed way.”…

Exactly. Crux reported a news story. That neither validates nor invalidates Mykhailo Podolyak's opinions in question. It is just a news story.
In regard to the notion that Pope Francis has always been pro-Putin/pro-Russia:
Then why has President Zelenskyy heaped repeated praise upon Pope Francis? Why has President Zelenskyy requested Pope Francis' repeated assistance to aid Ukraine in regard to the war?
If Ukraine has long-known the supposed "truth" about Pope Francis, then why did President Zelenskyy declare the following recently?
“I have had two [face-to-face] meetings with Pope Francis, and other members of the government have met him, too. I am most grateful to him for these encounters. He is helping us!”
“He prays for us,” the Ukrainian president said. “That is also a help because there are many Catholics here who are grateful to him for this. Moreover, these are important signals not only for the Catholics but also for the atheists [in the country] because he is an important person.”

The Ukrainian Greek Catholic synod of bishops this week participated in a two-hour meeting with Pope Francis that they termed frank and honest.
Contrary to Mykhailo Podolyak's above declaration, Pope Francis is the "universal voice of truth and justice," according to the statement released by the Ukrainian Greek Catholic synod of bishops.
The bishops expressed their concerns to Pope Francis in regard to his recent comments to Russian youth.
However, in contrast to Mykhailo Podolyak's comments in question, the Ukrainian bishops thanked Pope Francis for his support of Ukraine’s people. The bishops also thanked His Holiness in regard to his humanitarian outreach in support of Ukraine.
The bishops thanked Pope Francis for his efforts to obtain the release of Ukrainian POWs, as well as his efforts to return Ukrainian children who had been taken to Russia.
As was reported:
"The Right Rev. Kenneth Nowakowski, bishop for Ukrainian Catholics in Great Britain, said the bishops were particularly moved by the fact that Francis brought the icon with him to show them, and the fact that he dedicated two hours of his morning to listening to them while still recovering from his visit to Mongolia."
“Being actively listened to by the Holy Father in a non-rushed, non-bureaucratic atmosphere, I think has been for us amazing,” he told The Associated Press, adding that other Vatican officials were similarly generous with their time.

The Apostolic See provided the correct context of Pope Francis' remarks in question. The Apostolic Nunciature in Ukraine provided the proper context in regard to the remarks in question.
Pope Francis spent two hours this week in frank, honest dialogue with the Ukrainian Greek Catholic bishops.
In tremendous contrast to Mykhailo Podolyak's comments in question, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic bishops declared that Pope Francis is the "universal voice of truth and justice."
Mykhailo Podolyak has rejected the truth in regard to the preposterous, defamatory claim that Pope Francis has supported Russia/Russian imperialism against Ukraine.
Anyway, in regard to the following, I side with the Ukrainian Greek Catholic bishops:

This pope is no diplomat! He has said as much, calling diplomacy “hard” for him. He has no skills and thus leave it to others. His lack of diplomatic skills is reaping havoc in both the secular world and in the Church! Just think of the pope’s lack of tact and diplomacy dealing with Traditional Catholics in good standing insulting them with psychological manipulation and removing permissions offered the for the TLM and doing so in a sweeping authoritarian way without consideration for non psychologically rigid traditionalists. This Pope provokes anger and rage. Those of us who love the papacy grieve what this pope is doing to the papacy especially in the eyes of the world.
I can’t imagine Pope John XXIV will continue the current pope’s bungling.

Pope Benedict XVI provoked anger and rage. Popes Saint John Paul II, Saint Paul VI, Saint John XXIII, and Venerable Pius XII provoked anger and rage.
Pope Benedict XVI's vicious critics, right-wing, as well as left-wing, attacked him just as viciously as Pope Francis has been attacked. He apologized for several so-called "gaffes."
Among said "gaffes" was the monumental firestorm that resulted from Pope Benedict XVI's address at Regensburg. His critics within and without the Church exploded at him in vicious fashion. The Moslem world exploded against Pope Benedict XVI, as well as the Church.
Despite his apologies, Islamic extremists had seized upon Pope Benedict XVI's remarks...they killed Catholics, destroyed Catholic Churches. Pope Francis has not come close to having matched that monumental firestorm.
Pope Francis is not the first Roman Pontiff to have had his declarations twisted and misinterpreted.
By the way, consider Archbishop Lefebvre's vicious attacks against Popes Saint Paul VI, as well as Saint John Paul II. The Archbishop denounced said Popes as "apostates." Even then-Cardinal Ratzinger was labeled an "apostate."
Pope Venerable Pius XII has been the source of outrage for decades. His vicious critics have insisted that he was "Hitler's Pope."
But today, it is Pope Francis turn to absorb vicious attacks from his critics. However, the good news is that as survey upon survey has noted, the overwhelming amount of Catholics love and respect Pope Francis.
The above-mentioned Popes, despite their vicious critics within and without the Church, also enjoyed love and respect from the overwhelming amount of Catholics.
One takeaway is that this or that Pope's vicious critics are way out of touch with the overwhelming amount of the Holy People of God.
Anyway, in line with Pope Benedict XVI, I am happy and thankful to pledge my "unconditional reverence and obedience" to Pope Francis.

I read them all, although I would not have characterized them as you do. I also read all the other comments. It is called having an open mind and listening to alternative points of view.
So, the real question is: Did YOU read all of MT’s comments?

I will read MT's comments when they are original thoughts, not pieced together quotations of others where, context is not always easily determined. His post at 3:19 is a good example. They are his reflections, not a litany of quotations. I read it thoroughly and guess what, I mostly agree with him!
THAT is being open-minded and considering alternative points of view.
While you might feel this to be a teaching moment of sorts, it is not. I, and likely others, after so many years, are beyond trying to fight through the quotations as described. If the post is loaded with dashes, I just skip over it as they bother my eyes.
If it is focused (great), concise (even better), it will almost always have my attention.

Pope Benedict XVI was attacked viciously in regard to his having convoked Assisi III. The SSPX denounced him as a blasphemer.
He was attacked viciously during, and following his Pontificate, for his supposed role in having covered for sexually abusive priests.

I am not happy to have this discussion. My purpose is to demonstrate that Pope Benedict XVI, during, as well as following his Pontificate, absorbed one hateful attack after another.
It is revisionist history to pretend that at least some of Pope Francis' immediate predecessors had not been attacked and despised on the same level as Pope Francis.

First, it is a toss-up who is more corrupt Putin or Zelensky. Presumably, neither is a Marxist. Can't say the same about our Pope. Mark adores Pope Francis as they share identical theological understanding of Christian theology. Their mutual idol happens to be Groucho Marx who said and I quote:
