Fewer Catholics where, Father?

I predict that the OF Mass (as well as Vatican II) will continue to enjoy booming Mass attendance, as well as produce a great amount of vocations, throughout Africa and Asia.

I predict also that the OF Mass will continue to produce millions of holy Catholics, as well as produce many vocations, in dioceses governed by bishops who've implemented the OF/Vatican Council "by the book."

February 14, 2013 A.D:

In light of the following from Pope Benedict XVI, I offer below a prediction

"...there was the Council of the Fathers – the real Council – but there was also the Council of the media. It was almost a Council apart, and the world perceived the Council through the latter, through the media.

"Thus, the Council that reached the people with immediate effect was that of the media, not that of the Fathers.

"We know that this Council of the media was accessible to everyone. Therefore, this was the dominant one, the more effective one, and it created so many disasters, so many problems, so much suffering: seminaries closed, convents closed, banal liturgy … and the real Council had difficulty establishing itself and taking shape; the virtual Council was stronger than the real Council.

"But the real force of the Council was present and, slowly but surely, established itself more and more and became the true force which is also the true reform, the true renewal of the Church.

"It seems to me that, 50 years after the Council, we see that this virtual Council is broken, is lost, and there now appears the true Council with all its spiritual force.

"And it is our task, especially in this Year of Faith, on the basis of this Year of Faith, to work so that the true Council, with its power of the Holy Spirit, be accomplished and the Church be truly renewed."

====================================================================================

I predict that more and more holy priests will follow Father McDonald's lead in offering the TLM...and offering the Novus Ordo in reverent fashion.

I believe that more and more priests will follow Father McDonald's lead in having rejected right-wing and left-wing extremes...thereby promoting the true mind of the Church.

In turn, even if the following is not of immediate mind to them: Father McDonald, and priests who follow his lead, that is, to promote the Faith in orthodox fashion while rejecting extremes, will actually contribute the much-needed implementation of the authentic Vatican Council.

In line with now-Cardinal Ratzinger above declaration, I am convinced that the true Vatican II will, more and more, achieve authentic implementation throughout the Church.

As that occurs, as then-Pope Benedict XVI noted, the authentic Council will renew the Church.

The teachings that flow from the real Council are beautiful, orthodox teachings.

Pax.

I predict that the major protestant denominations will continue to swell their ranks with fallen away Catholics.

'Throughout Asia', Mark Thomas? Will we see millions of Hindus forsaking their ancient gods, Buddhists renouncing the teachings of their master, Muslims ditching the Koran, Orthodox Christians in the Russian Federation beyond the Urals abandoning their Divine Liturgy, in order to flock, missalettes in hand, to the great and glorious Novus Ordo Missae?

I know you like to concentrate on Africa and Asia, which must be a comfort since you refuse to look at the devastation nearer home lest it lead you to draw uncomfortable conclusions.

John Nolan,

MT is too young to be familiar with the phrase "Rice Christians."

Did we see that prior to Vatican II? Did said folks flock to the TLM?

All I know is that, Deo gratias, the "Novus Ordo/Vatican II" Church is booming throughout Asia.

===========================================================================

"I know you like to concentrate on Africa and Asia, which must be a comfort since you refuse to look at the devastation nearer home lest it lead you to draw uncomfortable conclusions."

1. What I concentrate upon is correcting the sweeping claim that the "Novus Ordo/Vatican II" Church is all but dead throughout the world.

Are you enraged that the Church is booming throughout Africa and Asia? As a Catholic, should you not acknowledge and rejoice in the fact that Holy Mother Church enjoys tremendous holy success in Africa and Asia.

2. Who determined that I "refuse to look at the devastation nearer home?"

In regard to that, I see the "devastation" throughout the West. I also see many holy Catholics who have been formed wonderfully via the Novus Ordo/Vatican II.

At several parishes near me, I know many holy Catholics who love and serve God. They love the Church. They love the OF.

Throughout the West, there are millions upon millions of "Novus Ordo" Catholics who are holy.

There are Catholics who've abandoned the Faith. There are holy Catholics who, via the "Novus Ordo/Vatican II," assist regularly at Mass.

The right-wing claims that the "Novus Ordo/Vatican II" is poison. But said claim is nonsense to millions upon millions of holy Catholics who love God and the Novus Ordo Mass.

The right-wing plays the either/or game. It is either the TLM or nothing. The TLM is the "True Mass"...the Novus Ordo is poison.

However, tens of millions of holy "Novus Ordo/Vatican II" Catholics reject that notion. They are fed spiritually by the Novus Ordo/Vatican II.

Pax.

MT,

When are you going to comment on PF doing NOTHING about the cocaine fueled gay sex orgies at the Vatican.

FYI, you are a fake catholic because you are left-wing, left-wing, left-wing. The left-wing supports Abortion on Demand and Gay Marriage. You really should be posting on the National Anti-Catholic Reporter, where your views would be welcomed.

The point I am trying to make is that Christianity, let alone Catholicism is marginal in Asia and is likely to remain so, notwithstanding modest gains in some areas. In other places, it has been pushed back. For example, in 2003 there were 1.5 million Christians in Iraq; today there are fewer than 300,000. So to say that Catholicism is 'booming throughout Asia' is arrant nonsense, unless you have a different definition of 'booming' and 'throughout' than the rest of us do.

For your information most of the Catholics I know vote Conservative and so can be regarded as right-wing, along with well over half the voters in England. Not one of them has opined that the Novus Ordo is 'poison'. So once again you need to re-define your terms.

John, curious about why the number of Christians in Iraq has dropped since 2003?
Gee, can you think of anything that’s happened in Iraq starting in, oh, 2003?
(Wracks brain....)
No, I can’t. Must be dissatisfaction with the OF.
Yeah, let’s go with that, since it fits our agenda.
