THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS

I've always had a devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. How about you?

Reading Pope Benedict's reflections from last year as he inaugurated the Year for Priests made me think ... how is it possible that people can remain so indifferent and unresponsive to such love?

As a devotion associated with adoration and reparation I have always liked it. On a more practical note however I have found that whenever I read an article about a completely Heterodox Parish or Priest he seems to be located in a Parish called Sacred Heart. This obviously has noting to do with the devotional practice, and is most likely my imagination playing tricks on me, but it sadly has this negative connotation to me.

As this year I have started my weekly hour adoration in a chapel to not leave the Holy Tabernacle alone I have started my devotion and adoration to The Sacred Heart and it feels so wonderful to get closer to Him this way! I know this has nothing exactly to do with Solemnity but I devote myself to The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus! Amen.Danielle

Danielle, I thought you were posting your comment on today's entry, but you found the one from 2 years ago! but I was going to comment that the Sacred Heart Devotion is my favorite of all! God bless you.

Dear Fr. Allan,
On the main page of your blog there is a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, it is the third one down with the red robe. Do you know who the artist is and where the picture may be purchased or where the copyright may be purchased? Thank you so much, Phyllis Merrell
