Hard to believe that this would be bombshell news, but there you have it after 12 polarizing years to describe the new pope’s prayers for all the thousands of young people and their young priests making their Chartres’ Pilgrimage in France and praying as the Church has prayed for centuries, about 1,600 years, the Mass prior to Vatican II when it was the normal Latin Rite Mass.
Pope Leo is praying for all those young people and not deriding them as throwbacks to nostalgia or rigid and thus mentally ill and disordered Catholics.
Thank you Pope Leo for your charity and prayers!

A true Pope and Shepherd - the contrast with his predecessor could not be more stark!
Rorate Caeli reported:
"Monsignor Christory announces that Pope Leo XIV himself is praying for the pilgrims of Chartres!"

However, certain folks who heard the homily in question have respond, for example, via X:
"El Cid - Telling The Truth in a World of Lies!
@Shinken888
"Where exactly did the bishop say this?! In the homily he said that Pope Leo send a letter to the French Church about St. Therese, Eudes, etc. nothing about Chartres!"

I am just reporting that which I had read.

AI can’t be wrong as it is all knowing: AI Overview
Yes, Pope Leo XIV, the current pope, has sent his prayers and best wishes to the Chartres pilgrimage. Specifically, he is sending his prayers to the young traditional Catholic movement participating in the pilgrimage from Paris to Chartres. This support is seen as a sign of unity and hope for those who love the Church's ancient liturgy. The Bishop of Chartres also conveyed the pope's prayers to the 20,000 young people attending the final Mass of the pilgrimage, according to Catholic Arena.
I do not know that His Holiness had sent a specific blessing to the Chartres pilgrims. I await confirmation in regard to that.
We can say that Pope Leo XIV has, in the general sense, blessed said pilgrims as he prays for and blesses all Catholics.
Among the Chartres pilgrims are such "traditionalists" as Michael Matt (The Remnant). Mister Matt has long waged war against the Council, Holy Mass of Pope Saint Paul VI, as well as our holy Vatican II Era Popes, including Pope Leo XIV.
Mister Matt has insisted that his views in question are mainstream among "traditionalists." I pray that such is not the case among the overwhelming amount of Chartres pilgrims. Actually, nobody should hold Mr. Matt's horrific views in question.
I pray that the Chartres pilgrims are in communion with Pope Leo XIV. If so, then all is well as said folks, unlike certain "traditionalists," such as Michael Matt, love and obey, rather than wage spiritual warfare, against Holy Mother Church.
Deo gratias for such Chartres pilgrims!

Pope Francis NEVER blessed the Chartres pilgrims, he mocked them
I am so grateful to have a good, faithful Pope who speaks with thoughtfulness and clarity - a true pastor in his words and in his example. A born priest, an American Catholic from the Midwest who takes care of his own and others.
I offer no criticism of the late Pope Francis. Every pope has a different personality and approach, and every pope was criticized harshly in life and death, even our good St. John Paul and Pope Benedict. History and hindsight and ultimately God will judge Pope Francis, who had his own gifts and shortcomings.
I personally think our good Pope Leo will someday be judged as one of the truly great popes, embracing the finest virtues of previous popes: the care of the poor and forgotten of Pope Francis, the scholarly, gentlemanly, faithfulness of Pope Benedict no matter what, and the joyful, courageous defense of God and His Church of St. John Paul.
God has been very good to us! God bless and protect our good Pope Leo!!!
It is unfortunate, as well as revealing, that certain folks had weaponized the claim that Pope Leo XIV had blessed the Chartres pilgrims specific.
That is, certain folks had pitted Popes Leo XIV, as well as Pope Francis (requiescat in pace), against each other. The notion was that big, bad, Bergoglio had never blessed the Charters pilgrims.
Conversely, Pope Leo XIV had acted as a holy, wonderful Pope, via his supposed blessing of the Chartres pilgrims.
That has demonstrated the deep, antagonistic feelings that certain Pope Francis detractors continue to harbor against Pope Leo XIV's immediate predecessor.
May said detractors cultivate within their hearts the tremendous love and respect that Popes Leo XIV, as well as (Emeritus) Benedict XVI expressed in regard to holy Pope Francis.
