When I see altars hidden or re-arranged in ways that mute, as it were, their true purpose and what they represent, it makes me think that somehow we are apologizing for our Catholic identity. This is part and parcel of what is happening in some factions of the much heralded "ecumenical" movement. To put it as diplomatically and euphemistically as I can, IT MAKES ME WANT TO PUKE!

I really love the irony in the first set of photos where the high altar gets hidden behind the screen, and is replaced with a wooden table altar which says "In Memory of Me" on the front of it.

LOL, oh yes Lord, in memory of you we hid the beautiful hand carved marble altar, which stripped of all else would still be obviously an altar dedicated to your sacrifice, and we replaced with a wooden card table shaped altar that a High School kid in wood shop could have constructed, and which if the crucifix were removed there from would be totally nondescript. Oh yes Lord, in your memory, that's why we did this.

Blech!!

Fr., is there any chance that you could bless a bottle of Pepto Bismol for Templar and me?

So it still continues despite the MP and despite the attempted reform of the reform. When does it end? I feel so sorry for the parishoners who must endure these types of attacks on their Churches, Altars, and Sanctuaries. You would think enough has been learned to put a stop to it by now.

Well I can't put it any better, pinanv525, and Templar have hit the nail on the head. By the way I could use a little of that Holy Pepto also lol lol
