Pope Leo XIV will begin a first period of rest at the papal summer residence in Castel Gandolfo July 6(catholicnewsagency.com, vaticannews.va).
He will celebrate Mass July 13 at the pontifical parish Church of St. Thomas of Villanova, at 10 a.m. local time, and recite the Angelus in Castel Gandolfo’s Piazza della Libertà at noon.
He will celebrate Mass July 20 at Albano Cathedral, at 9:30 a.m., and recite the Angelus in the Piazza della Libertà, at noon, returning to the Vatican in the afternoon
In July, all private audiences will remain suspended, as well as Wednesday general audiences. General audiences will resume July 30.
During a second stay at Castel Gandolfo, Pope Leo will celebrate Mass Aug. 15 at the Church of St. Thomas of Villanova, at 10 a.m., followed by the Angelus in Piazza della Libertà at noon.
He will deliver an Angelus address Aug. 17 in Piazza della Libertà, before returning to the Vatican.

It is such a relief to have the papacy back to normal after a decade (seemed like n eternity) of chaos. I don’t have to turn on my computer every day and dread seeing what scandalous thing the pope said today. No more insults or performative humility. Just plain old normality.

Even if true, so what? If those illegal aliens were not in the US these crimes would not have happened and we’d have fewer crime victims.
All this talk of "victims" and "due process", begs the question: What happened to the due process of filing properly to immigrate to the U.S. that was ignored by these "victims".
Mr. Trump is pulling no punches. He told us long before election day that he was going to conduct the largest deportation operation in American history and that was one of the major reasons he won both the popular AND electoral vote. The majority of Americans support this. One of the reasons this has such broad support is because the previous doofus in the oval office deliberately and shamelessly open the borders and ignored the law.
It's hard to have much sympathy for the grievance-mongers who are outraged that our nation dares to actually enforce its laws--especially when so many of them are willing to resort to violence as their response.

I say this with total sincerity: for all my disagreements with Father Kavanaugh, that has to be one of the most priceless bits of sarcasm I've ever read and, for the most part, it's on target!

1. A far too restrictive system overall.
2. Static immigration quotas.
3. Quotas on nationalities—the law micromanages immigrant demographics.
4. Immigrants wait in line for decades.
5. Immigrant workers are counted against multiple quotas.
6. There’s a limit for immigrants with “extraordinary ability”.
7. Workers without college degrees only get 5,000 green cards.
8. The president can end the refugee program unilaterally.
9. No immigration category for entrepreneurs.
10. No way to create new immigration categories without congressional action.
11. Immigrants generally cannot apply for permanent residency on their own.
12. Spouses and minor children of new immigrants count against the quotas.
13. There’s a quota on new spouses and minor children of current permanent residents.
14. Children of temporary workers grow up here, wait in line with their parents for permanent residency, and get kicked out of line on their 21st birthday.
15. Immigrants can live here for decades without receiving permanent residency.
16. Illegal immigrants cannot leave and reapply to return legally.
17. Spouses and children of temporary workers are banned from working.
18. The law requires immigrants to pretend that they don’t want to immigrate.
19. Forcing employers to advertise positions that are already filled.
20. Temporary workers cannot easily change jobs.
And here's a good one: The total number of pending cases in immigration courts is 3,585,101.
The system that COULD work for both citizens and those wishing to immigrate doesn't exist because politicians don't want it to work.
